Big blow at a weak fantasy position.

Nothing like an injury on a Tuesday after lineups have been set. Good news in the NFBC is you at least can replace Hill for the weekend - assuming you have someone on the bench to use. I'm stuck with him in my starting lineup on my Sirius Hosts League until next Monday. Then I'll have to drop a player from my bench I don't want to drop to pick up a second baseman.

Yeah, injuries sure do suck.

Umm, with all the injuries this year, who still has room on their bench for any healthy backups???

A D'Backs beat writer Tweeted that Hill was the 129th player to go on the DL already this season. The Indians just put Michael Bourn on the DL which would bring the total to 130.

Insane number of injuries.

Wow, 130 players. Figuring 25 man rosters for all 30 teams, that's 17% of all would be major league rosters currently on the DL. When you take into account that they all appear to be our star players, I'd be curious to know how many of those 130 are on or would be on fantasy rosters if healthy.

Hey clowns why don't you give him ANOTHER x-ray to see what's wrong !!

Fri: AZ Doc: xray says all clear, in you go.
Fri night: Hill: "Ow, hand hurts when I breathe, have to come out"
Sat: AZ Doc: xray says all clear, in you go
Sat night: Hill: "Ow, hand hurts when I breathe, have to come out"
Sun:AZ Doc: xray says all clear, in you go.
Sunday night: Hill: "Ow, hand hurts when I breathe, have to come out"
Monday: AZ doc: NY doctors say there is a new fangled machine called an MRI, let's try that
Monday night: Hill: " NY doc says crack in wrist size of grand canyon"

Tuesday: GIbby makes AZ doc watch fist pump hr trot for 5 hours straight.

You think that's bad? I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a team drafted in Vegas with this start....

1- Stanton
2- Reyes
3- Weaver
4- Aramis
5- Hill
6- Freeman
7- Cuerto
8- Morse
9- Aybar
10 - Hanrahan

I think it was Massotto's team. At least he's got pretty good balance across all the categories with that squad.

Yup, that's one of my Draft Championship teams. My MI went from Hill, Reyes, Walker to Walker, Descalso, Turner (Furcal also was picked for this team).

Ouch! I'd grin and bear it a little easier if these were 15-day DL stints, but it's looking like six weeks for Hill and 12 weeks for Reyes. Probably be longer with my luck.

I'll say the same thing here that I would say in fantasy football. Injuries are part of the game. I had at least 5 starting pitchers on the DL on opening day from a draft done in January. Bad luck? Perhaps, but maybe I should have done more research and shouldn't have picked some of those guys. Bottom line....Pick guys that have a history of not getting hurt.
