Post by Money » Tue Apr 16, 2013 3:55 pm

Does the doubleheader curse of 2012 in live scoring live to see another year in 2013?

So far no stats for todays game. Tune in later today to see.

Since yesterday provided our first doubleheader of the season, it also became our first test for doubleheaders on Live Scoring. I assume everything worked appropriately for everyone, correct? Hopefully we have this corrected for all doubleheaders going forward.

Looked good for my teams, Greg.

Thank you for having IT spend what I imagine was a considerable amount of time in fixing this problem that was a pain in the rear to all parties involved.

This will happen when the game is NOT an originally scheduled game but as in this case added because of cancellation on Friday.

Thx Capt. Regardless of the reason, if a game is being played it would be nice to have have live stat functionality of that game. Pretty sure the game is being counted in Live MLB standings. No reason to not ask/wish/expect for the same here.

I had nothing to do with it. :) As Perry said, the issue stems from this game being rescheduled after a postponement. Our tech guys are looking into the issue. We'll provide an update once we find out more from them. Sorry for the delay with this.

The way I see it, this is the exact same problem as last year. Other than the rare exception (Arz-Tex on May 27), MLB doesn't schedule doubleheaders prior to the start of the season anymore. Almost all the twin-bills we have seen over the past couple of years are the result of makeup games.

Honestly, I don't really care. But to suggest that this might have been the result of a rescheduled game makes it no different than the 20 times last season that stats from rescheduled games didn't show up.

I agree it needs to be fixed. I was merely providing an explanation for why the stats did not show up initially. As everyone knows there were no issues with the stats in the doubleheader earlier this week. The reason why the stats for this game today did not show up is because it was not a scheduled doubleheader. Again, though, I agree that regardless of the reason why the issue needs to be corrected.

No stats for Boston/KC game. Not a doubleheader, and a regularly scheduled game. Why is this such a workout getting live scoring for ALL games? Don't get it.

They are having a DH today...... although you are correct, the first game today was the regularly scheduled game and tonight's game is the makeup game from Friday.

I have no idea at all how the system works, but it does seem clear that any day that has a game that was not printed on the original 2013 schedule is a problem. It's as if the original 2013 schedule is loaded into the system, but the system is never updated or "refreshed" to add subsequent changes to that schedule.
