Tom and I will host another edition of STATS Fantasy Advantage tonight on SiriusXM Fantasy Channel 210/87 from 7 to 9 pm ET. We have plenty to talk about tonight thanks to the Jose Fernandez FAAB bids and the arrival of Tony Cingrani on Thursday. Interestingly, Fernandez goes against Cingrani on Thursday in Cincinnati. Should be fun.

Each week going forward our goal is to have one of the NFBC national contest leaders as a guest on our show. That's a little perk to keep pushing for first place each Tuesday. This week we have Dan Semsel as our guest at 7:30 pm ET as Dan and Ken Norred have led their Madcow and Bama team to the top of the NFBC Main Event overall standings. We'll analyze Dan's team and get his insights on baseball and life during these crazy times we live in. Dan is the perfect guest for tonight.

We'll also have a 30 minute segment on fantasy football with a Kansas City Chiefs' beat writer as our guest at 8:30 pm ET. See ya there.

Thanks to Dan Semsel for joining us last night on STATS Fantasy Advantage. He was a FANTASTIC guest. And as a marathon runner and military man, I knew he would put a good perspective on what happened in Boston on Monday and he didn't miss the mark there, either. FANTASTIC view on everything Dan. Thanks again and continued good luck to your NFBC teams going forward.

Again, every week we'll have one of our national contest leaders on the show or at least one of the top leaders, so keep pushing everyone. We'd love to have each of you on the show in coming weeks.

From our Sammy "The STATS Man" Lubeck in last night's show:

** Justin Upton already has 8 Home Runs this season, which is one more than he had in the last two Aprils combined (7). Enjoy it J-Up owners. While half of his homers (9 of 17) were solo shots last year, seven of his eight HRs this year have been solo shots.

** Jose Fernandez became the 4th pitcher since 1921 to allow fewer than 2 runs and 6 hits with 13 Ks in his first 2 career starts. The other pitchers to start their careers that way: Sandy Koufax in 1955, Juan Marichal in 1960 and Kazuhisa Ishii in 2002.

** STATS reports that through April 16th 143 MLB players have gone on the DL. Through all of April last year, 155 players landed on the DL, 168 through all of April 2011 and 147 through all of April 2010.

** Evan Gattis had 4 HRs in his first 8 games. Since 1921, only three players have hit more HRs in their first 8 MLB games:
Shelley Duncan in 2007 (5), Mark Quinn in 1999 (5) and Sam Horn in 1987 (5). Not a very distinguished list.

Thanks for the opportunity, Greg and Tom. Had a great time. Many friends ran Boston and it took several hours to find out if they were all OK. I will be running it in 2014.
