NFBC Participants Question.....2

Last week we had the Gattis-Buck question.
This week, let's change it to a strategical hypothetical.
Here it is....
If you had a fantasy Angel on your shoulder and could use it in just one of two ways, which would be more beneficial to you?
1. To guide you in that you would win every FAAB bid by $1 for the rest of the year.
OR
2. To guide you in picking the correct players to bench for the rest of the year.

I would want my angel to guide me for the rest of the year in picking the correct players to bench. And for my angel to lose a little weight. Southern angels are a little chunky.

Number 2 is the easy choice for me Dan. It would be an ERA / WHIP guarantee

If so, many of us are screwed by option 2 regardless.
At least option 1 would create mass hysteria since other managers would be convinced the system had been hacked since no one could possibly be THAT good at bidding strategy.
Cheers!
Over think much?
The question is just hypothetical without ramifications from others thinking they've been hacked or gamed.
Just an either, or question.

Could I have one of these instead?

I'd go with option 1.
Once the draft is over there are two ways you can improve your team 1) Acquire new talent efficiently (via FAAB), and 2) Manage your team well.
I can control my own decisions about who to bench or play (none of us are perfect, but at least I can be comfortable with my own knowledge and experience). What I can't control is what others bid. Having an Angel to guide me on the exact $$$ to pay will help me save money because I won't ever "overbid", which means I'll have the ability to always acquire the talent I want (FAAB limits notwithstanding) and I'll be able to acquire even MORE talent than I would otherwise because of all the money I've saved by not overbidding.
Of course, I'll still need to identify the correct players to bid on (no guarantee there), but at least I'll have a competitve advantage once I decide who I want to bid on.

Uh...you only want one of those?
They do come in pairs, you know.
