If you watched him tonight, you'd know something wasn't right. Wild as a March hare.

But even after he was shaking his arm, he was throwing 98 mph, so it didn't seem like an injury... I only have him in 17 leagues, I'm not worried.... :?

Baseball is starting to make me sick in general or at least the fantasy part of it.

Nah; just give him another tommy john. It will give him a nice vacation.....by that time gonzalez will fall apart from the peds, zimmerman will have another tj, and harper will sign a 24 year 1.5 trillion dollar contract.

A certain writer from a certain web site:
- Josh Johnson... well, I'm not really sure what to think about Josh Johnson right now. He's here mostly because I know I'd get a bunch of questions if I didn't write something. It was good to see his velocity back up in his last two starts, but then he came down with biceps tendinitis and missed his turn on Friday. Was it a result of him overthrowing in order to get his fastball back up in the 91-95 mph range? And why aren't the Blue Jays being cautious and putting him on the disabled list? Given his history, a 15-day break would seem to be for the best. I liked the way Johnson was throwing this spring, and I was impressed with his start against the White Sox on April 16 (I didn't see the followup outing against the Yankees). I certainly wouldn't go dropping him in mixed leagues now, but I do have concerns. Since he's a free agent at season's end and the Jays are pretty desperate to win this year, I'm not sure the team has his best interests at heart.

Me: Really? He is always hurt. His best interests at heart? You mean we better sit him down until September to make sure he's ready for next year so he can pitch 5 games and be shut down until September again? Why would any team be stupid enough to sign him next year anyway unless the contract has performance incentives per year (as all contracts should).

Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said Tuesday that Stephen Strasburg's arm is "structurally perfect" and he's not expected to miss a start.

Why am I not convinced.....

It looked like he was cramping in trying to literally shake it off.
They also spoke of taking meds, which I can only assume speaks to a muscular problem rather than something long term.
I'm not as vested in him as you are, Alan, but I'm in the camp that says he's alright.

From a strictly non-health angle, he sure seems to be throwing a lot more sliders and curves this year.

Yeah Dan, he is, and I am not sure why. I was watching the game last night and he was throwing consistently in the upper 90s even after the arm shaking incident. He seems to have the movement in his fastball. I do get the fact that he has an amazing curveball.

Just by the way they treated him last year, I wouldn't be surprised if they rested him this weekend.

According to Pitch F/X he is throwing almost exactly the same number of fastballs/curves/changeups this year as last year
