General question regarding players eligible for free agency. In one league I'm in a player that has been owned and dropped (Yasiel Puig) is still available in the free agent pool. Puig hasn't spent a day in the majors this year. Meanwhile, Anthony Rendon has been owned and dropped, is currently in double-A, but is not available in the free agent pool. Why would we be able to pick up a guy like Puig, but not Rendon?

Any player owned and dropped in your specific league should be available in that league; that's how it's always been.

A mistake. I play in multiple leagues, and Rendon was not drafted/owned in the league I was looking for him in, but was in another.

So a player can be an eligible free agent one week but if not picked up he becomes ineligible if sent down?

It makes sense but the rules don't refer to losing eligibility so I can see how some of us feel misled. Knowing how it affected Rendon helps me understand why Straily wasn't available after making starts with Oakland.

Yes, on the first question, if he was not drafted and not picked up by another team. Straily is currently in the majors and should be available. He has been sent down a few times, so maybe you caught him during one of those periods, not in your FAAB pool, if he was not drafted or picked up by another team.

It is not misleading in the rules.. It simply says "Any player who is not on a team roster within your league and is on a major league roster or once was on an NFBC team in your league is considered a free agent for that league." If there is a specific situation where this is not true, then it is a mistake and should be corrected.
