Why would ARod get 200 games while the others get 50 except Braun's 65? Braun, a native born Californian, lied about PED's, got away with being caught, and now receives extra punishment. I get that. But why ARod so much more?

All the other new suspended players were all Hispanic. Seven are from the D.R.(ARod's heritage), three from Venezuela, and two from Nicaragua. What does that mean? I do not believe Hispanic players are any more dishonest than any other possible group of players. But this fact beats the odds that they are a random group of players who were simply all caught together. Something brought them together whether it was ARod or something else and that should be investigated and disclosed.

Is it possible ARod "arranged" this group to join him in his cheating? Was he a ringleader pulling others into a circle of lies and deceit? Is this why he gets so many more games than anyone else? Have others suggested this?

MLB has to have something on ARod for the 200 games or they would not exceed the contractual procedures for suspensions. What that could be I do not know. This is only one speculative possibility. Can you think of something else?

This was MLB's statement below. They appear to evidence, that he did "recruit" others. His penalty is for violations of both the JDA and CBA. My guess 50 Games for each season he used, 10, 11, 12 and the 61 games under the CBA. Arod, his Minion team and the Union have not seen all the evidence MLB has on him.


New York third baseman suspended 211 regular season games through 2014 season
Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig announced today that third baseman Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees has been suspended without pay for the remainder of the 2013 Championship Season and Postseason and the entire 2014 Championship Season for violations of the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program and the Basic Agreement.

Rodriguez's discipline under the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program is based on his use and possession of numerous forms of prohibited performance-enhancing substances, including Testosterone and human Growth Hormone, over the course of multiple years. Rodriguez's discipline under the Basic Agreement is for attempting to cover-up his violations of the Program by engaging in a course of conduct intended to obstruct and frustrate the Office of the Commissioner's investigation. The suspension, which will become effective on Thursday, August 8th, will cover 211 Championship Season games and any 2013 Postseason games in which Rodriguez otherwise would have been eligible to play.

Under the terms of the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, Rodriguez's suspension will be stayed until the completion of his appeal if Rodriguez files a grievance challenging his discipline.
