Ramblings.....

A 4-3 game in the ninth. Ned Yost pinch hitting Carlos Pena for Jarrod Dyson vs Chris Perez with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out.
What?
Why not the contact hitter?
You don't even need a 'big fly'. All that's needed is to move a runner 90 feet and Yost pinch hits Adam Dunn- Lite for Dyson.
What a Maroon!
Pena struck out and the Royals lost.
Whenever a player is 'rested' now, you can bet that a Manager would rather have another player playing.
Wil Myers needing a rest? No. Joe Maddon playing matchups? Yes.
Carl Crawford plays like he is trying not to get hurt.
He's not getting hurt.....
He looks like Carl Crawford and plays like Cindy Crawford.
If it were reversed, his owners would at least have something to look at.
Joe Girardi-
'Hey! Those Orioles are hitting CC!
They must be stealing our signs!'
Umm Joe.... Either every team is stealing those signs or nobody needs to......
Mike Napoli won't be catcher eligible next year. He may be a player with good stats whose adp drops....
Matt Harvey, get the damn surgery. Waste one year, not two....
Some team will sign Kevin Youkilis during the off season.
And for a lot of money.
It's like a business recruiting a kid who has used Workman's Comp in every previous job.
Some things just don't make sense.
Is there a hitter who gets pinch run for more in a late game than Billy Butler?
It used to be David Ortiz, now Butler.
Butler's adp drops a ton next year.
Not because of the constant pinch running, but because he loses his 1B positionality.
Who Closes for the Cards next year?
Mujica or Motte?
Nationals broadcasters- Puhleese!
Your team is mediocre. You don't have players that should sweep post season awards.
Unless there is some award for not living up to hype.
Nick Markakis came up the other day and announcers stated that he would not be bunting because 'Markakis don't bunt'.
I don't know whether he'd never tried to bunt in a game or has not mastered bunting.
I thought to myself, 'this is Nick Markakis, how could either of those situations be true?
Markakis grounded into a double play.....
Chris Iannetta came up the other night in the ninth inning, the Angels were down 5-3 and Josh Hamilton had just led off the inning with a double.
Iannetta picked on the first pitch which aggravated the announcer. As soon as the ball went straight up off the bat, the announcer whined, 'First pitch!'
When the first baseman settled under and caught the ball, he exclaimed, THAT WAS AN UNPRODUCTIVE OUT!'
It left me wondering how ANY out could be productive in that situation.
Sometimes I think announcers feel handcuffed by not just being able to say, 'IANNETTA, YOU SUCK!!!'
Billy Hamilton may be the first player in fantasy history that gets a fist pump from owners when NOT seeing his name in the lineup.....
