I had fun yesterday looking at every single NFBC league and seeing so many incredibly close standings. There were a couple of Main Event leagues with ties for first place, which isn't uncommon in this competitive environment, but still pretty cool to see this late in the season.

The tightest national contest involves the NFBC Auction Championship. Here's the standings heading into Thursday's games:

1 Bama Mixer Kenneth Norred Auction Championship Las Vegas March 29 4 pm League 484.5 612.0 1,096.5 -3.0
2 BK Mets A2 Alan Greenberg Auction Championship New York March 29 10 am ET League 570.0 525.5 1,095.5 +6.5
3 BROCKPORT BULLIES Hal Goldstein Auction Championship New York March 28 6 pm ET League 562.5 529.5 1,092.0 +6.0

Can Kenny Norred win the $100,000 grand prize with Dan Semsel in the NFBC Main Event AND win the NFBC Auction Championship? If he does that, do we need Kenny to give TWO speeches live in Las Vegas? Are we all ready for that? ;) Good luck to all during these final 10 days.

If either Kenny or I have to speak, y'all will need a translator.....except for Dave Potts. He speaks Bama, even if he won't admit it
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
