All of us here at the NFBC and STATS LLC can hardly wait to pay all of our great winners from the 2013 season. We are geared up and ready to make that happen quicker and easier than ever before. In fact, we want to directly put the money into your savings or checking account if possible and get direct deposits to you for baseball and all sports going forward.

Look for an NFBC newsletter shortly with the form that is needed for direct deposits of your winnings, fill it out and send back to us and we'll get this done. Here's the details:

In an effort to become more efficient and streamline our prize payouts, STATS LLC is pleased to offer you a new payday convenience: Direct Deposit. Now you can have your prize winnings deposited directly into your checking or savings account. By enrolling in our direct deposit service, we will issue your prize winnings electronically, thus saving you time and eliminating the possibility of lost checks. While enrollment in our direct deposit services is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended.

To enroll in direct deposit, simply fill out the attached form and mail, fax, or e-mail the form along with a voided check for the account listed to one of the addresses listed below.

I have yet to get a check from the NFBC that the bank didn't put 'on hold' for 10 days.
This should alleviate that problem.

Again, this is one step of putting more control in your hands when it comes to prize money. We still have plans to launch a Player Accounts link for you that will let you tell us how much you want deposited and if you want to keep any of your prize money on account for future contest purchases. In other words, you'll have the ability to keep some prize money in your account if you'd like and easily pay next year's entry fees that way rather than cash and pay separately. It will also be a more transparent tool to show what is owed each season and an easy way to track how much you've won this season and in past seasons with STATS. Look for that soon.

Will payouts come before we get access to the upcoming online money management tool? Winners of large prizes will likely want to leave some money behind to cover next year's entry fees then get the rest paid out by check or direct deposit.

That's the goal.

How do I subscribe to the newsletter?

Any updates? I have mixed feelings about the direct deposit option. On the one hand, it's way faster to get direct deposit and I don't have to drive to the bank. On the other hand, I like my wife seeing the check when it arrives.

Any idea when winners might get paid? I want to plan out my month. Also, I e-mailed my direct deposit info but never received a confirmation. Is that normal? Thanks.

We need to get all of the split prizes forms in today before sending out payments. Same with direct deposit forms this week, but everything else is in place and we're ready to go. We'll have the checks in the mail this month and we'll post the actual date when they go out shortly.

Am I missing something? I can't seem to find the "attached" form that we need to fill out if we want direct deposit. I am fine with getting paid via snail mail, but direct deposit seems like a nice option. I've read most of the news letters... Pete

When will direct deposits be made?

The whole purpose of direct deposit seems lost if they are received after everyone else gets a check.

I believe everyone is getting paper checks since they weren't able to finalize the direct deposit setup yet... At least that is how I interpreted it... Greg/Tom.. correct me if I am wrong.

How do you know this? Looking back through, Greg's last post in this thread seemed to imply people who signed up for it would be paid by direct deposit, though I have to say check is starting to look like the more attractive option.

I'm in Chicago this week for meetings and will get updates on everything shortly. I didn't want to post anything on payouts until I was in the office, so just hang tight on answering for us. Thanks.

We're working hard this week to plan for 2014, so hopefully all goes well. Stay tuned on all.

I was just posting what you said in a different thread... sorry for misleading.

There will be direct deposit payments and the good news is that almost 100 people are getting paid this way. Good job everyone. Look for these soon if they haven't landed already.

That is F***ing awesome!! Thank you. Hope I am one of those 100!!

Hopefully the direct deposits will start today or tomorrow. Since this is our first time doing this we needed to take a few extra steps with our own bank before sending over the money. We should be good soon and in the future I would suspect that direct deposit winners will see their payments first. It's a nice process for you and it helps us, too. So look for your money shortly. We don't need it anymore; it's yours now!!

Okay, thanks for your patience all direct deposit winners. We have everything set now and you'll still likely get paid before those receiving checks. Look for deposits in the next day and CONGRATS.
