NFBC Message Boards

Richard Van Fleet of La Jolla, California won our 2013 NFBC Draft Champions National Championship and the $16,000 grand prize, beating out a record 1,844 other teams for the title. This was an amazingly close race to the finish as one-half point separated the top two teams with only two days of the season left. Ironically, the Top 2 teams at that time belonged to Ronald Uganski and Parnelli Baker, but Richard's TAKE FIVE team had an incredible weekend to take the lead and he held on for the title.

Richard's team won his March 3rd league title with 133 points (88.67 percent of all available points) and TAKE FIVE finished 1st overall with 16,239.0 points (88 percent of available points). Ronald Uganski finished 2nd overall, followed by Parnelli Baker, David DiDonato and Thomas Greenwald. Richard is an NFBC veteran who has been with us since the early years and he won another Draft Champions League title this year, that one by just one-half point.
