We're glad to have NFBC and NFFC Charter Member Glenn Schroter on the STATS Fantasy Advantage on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio tonight. Glenn is currently leading several NFFC leagues, including the prestigious 14-Team Ultimate League, and we'll talk about his passion for high-stakes private football and baseball leagues.

The show airs from 10 pm ET to midnight tonight and Glenn will appear at 11 pm ET. You can always listen to the show on the SiriusXM App or On Demand. Gotta love it. Thanks Glenn for joining us tonight and let's have some fun.

Is Glenn on at 11ET? You listed "PT" in your previous note....just wanted to confirm.

The last time I listened to Glenn it was in conversation with him at some schwank club in Vegas at 2:00 in the morning. I'm looking forward to hearing what he has to say tonight.

I listened at 'Glenn Time'.
A point Glenn made was fantastic.
In the 10 years that we've played in the NFBC, we've gone from little information, to now too much.
Some folks say there can never be too much info. But there can.
Glenn made the point that we need to pick the information that pertains most to our needs, or 'cleanse' that information.
Just an excellent point.

An overall great job, Glenn.

Yes, thanks to Glenn for joining us on the air last night and talking about our contests. He's having a solid fantasy football season after a solid fantasy baseball season, so it was a good discussion. But you are right Dan, it's fun to talk with our 10-year veterans about the changes in the game today and his points last night were well taken.

However, I don't think there's too much information out there. I mean, you can almost get anything you want on Twitter and while there are links to every story imaginable to me that's not too much, it's just a way to save me time in finding out this info. Player content sites are still great and yes you have to parcel out the "misinformation" at times, but it's still so much easier to find this information than ever before. To me, the information remains out there, but the time it takes to find any of this is ridiculously smaller today than ever before.

When I edited Fantasy Baseball Magazine and wrote for ESPN.com in the 1990s, I kept a copy of every USA Today sports section at my desk on the floor and had sticky notes for the team-by-team player notes. When I needed to look up an injury for an article, I'd get down on my hands and knees, search through each sports section until I found what I needed. I always had a full year's pile of sports pages on the floor to make sure I could find what I needed. Thanks to the Internet, I no longer even buy USA Today (which just went from $1 to $2) and I no longer need this archaic way to find player notes. I can just search for anything on the Internet and it's right there.

That saves time and gets people to play in more leagues. Thank goodness for the Internet.

If sticking to just information, you're doing yourself well.
It is the distribution of information through publications, websites, radio, and tv that carry the land mines.
Tom and yourself are very well versed in fantasy sports.
Would you call yourselves experts?
Probably not.
But to Joe Schmo in Canada, you are.
You are because you are on the radio and in most minds, you wouldn't be on the radio if you weren't an expert.

We've gone from seeking out opinions to being deluged with opinions. During a football game, a broadcaster said that a player was great for his fantasy team.
10 Years ago, I would have killed to hear a statement like that!
Now, they're a dime a dozen.

You're right, the information is great.
At the same time, we are bombarded with 90 per cent opinion and 10 per cent fact at nearly every turn.
We can get the information we want with the clicks of buttons, that is true.
Picking and choosing who is giving that information as we go through our day, and how it specifically corresponds to NFBC or NFFC drafting is the trick.

Anyway, loved the comments, Glenn.
Great job.

Greg and Tom, thanks for having me on. You guys really need an earlier time slot -- WAY past my bed time. How in the world do you guys make it to 11pm CDT each week????

As to my point about information overload, Dan, you've got it 100% right. In my opinion, we've reached the saturation point of information where there's TOO much out there. The challenge is to catalogue the data and know what is useful right now, what may be useful in the future, and what can be discarded. Every day, we are bombarded with facts and figures about players -- some of them contradictory. How you use that information will ultimately determine how successful you are as a fantasy owner.

Wish we had more time to talk about that on the show, but we were up against a commercial break!

One thing I would like to hear on your show is a series of fantasy roundtable discussions. Pick a topic and get a few guys on the line. Would probably make for some great radio. 8-)
