Puig

What a joke he is defensively. Missed the cutoff, overthrows home, misplays a routine hit. It's like old school little league when a team puts their worst player in Right Field and you tell everyone to try to hit it to Right Field. He has caused at least three extra bases tonight, and we're still in the 5th. Kershaw isn't getting the calls from the home plate ump, but Puig lost this game.

Everybody load up on him in the first round next year.

seen many like Puig come and go, 1/2 year wonders.... he better get his attitude fixed and learn how to play the game the right way and listen to coaches or he'll be back in the minors to learn it next year. He'll be the riskiest top 30 player drafted next year.

Yahoo reports that Joe Torre lit into the Dodgers about Puig showing up the umpires during the series. Puig will certainly get no favors from them next year. He better be swinging.

I know absolutely nothing about the Dodger organization, but I think Mattingly has a "standup, no nonsense, old school, play the game like it's your last game" attitude. Don't give the game away. Make the other team earn the Win. I do think the presence of Magic Johnson is a positive in their organization. Magic is a winner. I do believe he will handle Puig in a positive manner. Time will tell.

He didn't cost them the game. No one hitting cost them the series. As a Dodgers fan, tough to watch but you can't make excuses.

as for Puig, problems likely coming...
