We've already started working on position eligibility thanks to a fellow NFBC owner asking these questions before you. Here you go:

Pete Orr - OF
Zach Walters - SS
Chris Gimenexz - C
Chris Valaika - 2B
Corban Joseph - 2B
Christian Bethancourt - C
John Hester - C - He played 1 game at catcher in majors
Johnny Monel - C - He played 1 game at catcher in majors

What high school do you think Orr will be a part time coach at next year?

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I took my kids to see a minor league game this year. A player on this list signed the kids baseballs, It was Zach Walters. I had never heard of him before...Anyways on that night his first Ab was a single up the middle, second AB was a double, 3rd AB waz a Homerun.....His 4thfirst AB we are cheering for the triple, but he missed the cycle &only got a single...Signing all the kids baseballs that day gave him good karma.....He was listed @work 3b though...

Olt spent the entire season in the minors, so it's where he played the most games down there. I don't see any stats for him on BaseballReference.com, so I'll have to look into this one. I'm not sure why his 2013 season isn't listed there, but I'll check on this. Does anyone have games played for Mike Olt in 2013?

When do registered owners get access to the 2014 position eligibility data? Is it in the draft room or somewhere else?

Thanks

It's right on the home page now for all to see under Resources. The first pulldown link says NFBC Eligibility.

Corey Hart shows 1B only whereas he had more than 20 games at both 1B and OF in 2012,his last active year. Shoule he not qualify at both? Maybe I don't understand how position eligibility is assessed ?

Thanks, Greg

Eligibility page shows X Bogaerts as 3b only but draft board shows SS?

Corey Hart does qualify at 1B and OF, his last positions from 2012. Plan accordingly.

He is 3B only. I'm not sure why that isn't matching, but we'll check. Thanks.

Shit, I haven't even heard of half of these guys except in passing, let alone worry about what position they play. Screwed and the season hasn't even started yet. F'n fantasy baseball guys are RELENTLESS.

Is Marcus Semien a 3b or a Ss?
Draft room says SS although he played way more games at 3b last year.

Thanks

Hi Gaetan.
3B.
I think the draft room has Bogaerts at SS too.
He's 3B only, just like Semien.

Search the players name.
Hit 2013 on games played.
You'll see games played at each position.

Thanks Dan, I know but it was just confusing in the room and I just remembered that Twins SS from Japan that was declared 2b although not playing a game at 2b the year before in Japan. Thought maybe we had another exception. DAN, hopefully you'll make it to Vegas week 2.

I just drafted Olt as a 1b, which is where he shows up on the NFBC eligibility list.

Greg,

Casey McGehee. I think in 2013 he was 1b eligible only, but then played last year in japan. It looks like the Marlins just signed him to play 3b. Will he be 3b eligible?
