We didn't want to jump the gun on this announcement, so we held off during the weekend, but many of the 2014 winning prize checks went out on Friday night, Oct. 18th. Thanks to the STATS Accounting Department for the quick turnaround.

We had a big batch of checks this year, so some went out over the weekend and others went out Monday and Tuesday. We also have almost 100 owners who requested direct deposits and those will happen early this week. Normally those would be among the first payments, but this is our first time doing direct deposits and we needed to take a few extra steps with our own bank to ensure we had everything set up perfectly. Going forward this should be a real nice setup and I encourage all NFBC owners to take advantage of this payment setup.

Anyway, it's impossible to move much faster on payouts as we give everyone 10 days after the season to get in their split prizes forms and direct deposit forms and shortly after that accounting already has payments in the mail. Very nice for everyone and again thanks to the Accounting folks here at STATS LLC.

Next year we'll also have the Player Accounts set up where you can keep some money in your account to pay for future contests with STATS. That will be a nice addition as well and we'll start it for football in December. Look for that over there if you're playing in the NFFC.

Now save some of this prize money for 2014 NFBC. We'll have Registration live starting in November and we won't even ask for any payment until Feb. 15th. You keep the money; we don't need it anymore!!! CONGRATS to all of our winners and best of luck to everyone in 2014.

With the direct deposits completed is it safe to say that all the checks have gone out? I didn't trust the start up with direct deposit. I will next year!!

Great job by STATS! Appears that the Direct Deposit has hit the account as promised this morning. Considering I
had to submit a shared prize form with Mr Jim Christie ( my great partner in crime - just don't tell him ) I had a feeling
that maybe it would take a little longer. Nope, money is there and the amount is correct.

Solid. A week BEFORE the Breeders Cup! Dunno if that is good or bad, but happy to be squared up from Baseball.

Yes, all checks less than $20,000 have gone out. I was in Chicago this week and I know for a fact that everything went out by Wednesday. Some went out on Friday night, some on Monday and Tuesday and a few stragglers on Wednesday. There are a dozen or so owners who haven't filled out their W9s yet and thus checks are being held, but Tom has been in contact with those owners. The final big checks should receive signatures shortly.

I understand your concern with the first year of direct deposit and we were very careful with everything, which is why it took a few days longer than we wanted. But we have this down now and I'd recommend this way to everyone going forward. Why mess with a paper check in the mail when this is available to you? And going forward, you can even tell us how much you want to keep in your Player Account for future payments to avoid having to pay later. This will be a much easier and seamless payment and prize plan.
