Bidding for draft positions for Mathis league

For the Mathis league, I hope you are doing FAAB $ bidding for positions - hmmmm... do you think the first pick will be Pujolis? Shouldn't whoever gets that pick position have to pay some kind of price?

Thome is not that far behind Pujols. Do you think Pujols can maintain the lead over everyone until the draft?

Yep... Here is why - Thome old, Pujolis young... both have slight injury concerns so a wash there... Pujolis hasn't even hit his top - isn't like 27 the age when hitters break out / peak statistically? Don't get me wrong, I love Thome, but he is no Pujolis...

Thome:

Key Stats

AB HR AVG RBI R SB

129 16 .287 40 35 0

Pujolis:

Key Stats

AB HR AVG RBI R SB

130 19 .323 48 39 2

It's Funny how quickly things change. I was going to bid 990+ to get Pujols in this league, now I might not care that much where I land in the draft order......On a side note.....Of the guys that have signed up for this league, would any of you be adverse to raising the stakes a bit? $500 to $1000 entry fee?

Who would you pick, right now, if you had the number 1 pick?

Now that Pujols is back in the lineup and putting up numbers again after an 18-day absence, who is the No. 1 pick in this Don Mathis Mid-Season League, where first half stats count? Does Pujols get the nod again?

I know everyone is busy working on their main event teams, but we are close to filling the $1,000 Mid-Season League on Wednesday, July 12th (three openings left), but we still have plenty of room in the other leagues. It would be fun to fill up the Don Mathis $250 league on Tuesday, July 11th as this is the only league that uses first half stats. The standings are ready the next day, so you can see how you drafted. Let me know if you want to take part in this one or any other mid-season league.

Again, who goes No. 1 in this mid-season league?

Well, personally, I don't know how it couldn't be Pujolis (I mean, he was gone for 3 weeks and barely lost ground!- comes back and goes 4 for 4!), though Santana and Soriano could challenge. David Wright is making a sneak appearance as well...
