Manage Your Team List Works Well

Since we have access to all of your team pages, we get to see how your MY TEAMS lists look from time to time. And honestly, some of you have messier rooms than my kids!!

Thankfully, we have a nice tool that all of you should use to clean up your MY TEAMS room. At the very top of your NFBC home page is an area that says "Welcome Greg Ambrosius (insert your name here)". Below that is a link that says "Manage Your Team List". If you click on that it will take you to a page that has five different columns. Let's look at the first two:

Display?: Every team that is check-marked will be displayed in your MY TEAMS page. Just double click on any of those boxes to remove the check-mark and that team will be hidden. None of your teams will ever disappear, but if you want to just hide your teams from 2011, 2012 and even 2013, you can do so there. You can always have them displayed by checking them again later, but this is a great tool to clean up your MY TEAMS page and not list all of your past teams.

Order: This allows you to rank in order the way you want to see the teams that are on your MY TEAMS page. If you want your NFBC Main Event team to be at the top of your list, put a 1 by that team. Then rank 1 through 10 all of your teams and they will appear in that order. Again, it's a great way during the season to put the teams that mean the most to you at the top, while keeping other teams lower in your sight.

Team: Some folks still don't know how to change the name on their team. To change any team name, just go back to MY TEAMS, click on any team and then go to Settings in the green navigational bar. Pull down to Team Info/Logo and write in a new team name in the first box. All of your personal information is under Settings and can be updated at any time.

Hopefully this helps you manage your teams easier this season. There are a lot of great tools on the site that many folks don't quite know about this year and it's going to be our job to alert you to each of them. Hopefully we'll have some more tools coming this year.

I'm bumping this post up because with so many of you adding Draft Champions Leagues I see that your MY TEAMS list is getting pretty messy. You should all know that it's very easy to hide past teams from any of our sports and to rank them in the order you want on your team pages as well. That's very helpful during the year when some teams are getting more attention from you than others. Take advantage of this great tool and clean up your rooms!!

I was wondering if it will be a possibility to go back and look at a past team by just clicking on it . If I want to go back and look at who or when I drafted a certain player I have to take a handful of steps to achieve the process. Will there be a capability to just visit hidden teams and click on them at that point?

Well, if you've hidden it then you just need to take the one step of putting it back on your My Teams page to activate the link. Assign it a number in the order you want it to appear and everything will be there for you. One step, unless I'm missing something.

no not missing nothing / just me being lazy /
To have to go back assign a number and then click the box then save team lists. Just to check on a certain league and then after I checked go back in and un assign a number and uncheck the box and save again.
once again me just being lazy to check on 1 thing.

Then I would leave those past teams on your My Teams list and just assign them the lowest number, thus being at the bottom of your My Teams page. That makes the most sense.

Some owners don't hide any of their past teams, so when I look at their pages they have dozens of teams interspersed from 2011 to 2014. Without assigning them numbers, their newest teams are at the bottom of their My Teams page. That must be frustrating to scroll down every day to find those teams as it's obvious they don't realize they have the tools to position their current teams the way they want. Hopefully making them aware of this Manage Team List tool helps them.

As for you lazy owners, just leave those past teams on your My Teams list going forward... ;)
