The bids on Hamels got me thinking. Has anyone tried to quantify or even thought about how the 1000 free agents units translates to the pleyer values many of us use?
I estimate in that your free agent units should target @$60 in player value in a mixed league and @$40 of player value in a league-only league.
A 500 unit bid on Hamels means a gamer is hoping for a $30 player in a mixed league and a $20 player in a league-only league. Bottom line: I think a lot of people overbid in the mixed leagues. Only one team got him at any sort of "value" - the team that got him for $448 in NL-only league 2.
Thoughts?
