Be careful drafting with an iPhone

Post by Deadheadz » Thu Nov 28, 2013 9:09 pm

Through 33 rounds of DC 1 - 2014 edition I've had no problems drafting players with my iPhone browser. Chat in the draft room is another story but there are ways to work around that.

In round 34 I was trying to draft a player by typing his name and clicking draft player. However after round 33 (I'm the 15th pick so I'm on the wheel) which I entered manually as well, the browser refreshed and sent me into Auto-One pick which gave me a player out of my queue rather than one I was entering manually for round 34.

I tried hitting the Help button but it's Thanksgiving and the management haven't shown up yet.

So I will vent here.
All I can say is be extra careful when trying to draft using an iPhone and maybe just avoid it.

Cheers!

Similar thing happened to me two years ago in iPhone. The guy I split my teams with was drafting on his iPhone and we agreed to take Hunter Pence and he was right above Victor Martinez on the default rankings, who by the way was announced 45 minutes before on rotoworld that tore his knee up and was done for the year. Well we knew this but it looked like we were trying to pull a fast one. Tom called me and I told him what happened and even though he believed me which as I told him wouldn't do anything like that, decided I had to keep Martinez which I understood. Luckily we still got top 3 and cashed but I learned my lesson never draft on the iPhone and neither of us have since.

Hit help four times in the last hour, no response.

I put the correction in the draft chat immediately so I'm hoping they can look at the log and see what happened.

I would have emailed the next couple guys to pick, and explain to them what happened and ask if they could delay their picks for awhile thus giving Greg/Tom time to get to the Draft room and fix it.

Guys, just an FYI that neither Greg nor I are monitoring the DC leagues 24/7 so we aren't going to see help calls immediately. That's especially true on a holiday. :) The best way to contact us if you're having an issue with these leagues is by email. We'll do our best to reply promptly and address the issue. Thanks. :)
