If you like to plan ahead, you'll now know what end of the Strip we'll be on next year and you can plan accordingly. Room rates are $209 on Friday and Saturday, $149 on Thursday and Sunday. I'll post the codes later, but this should give you a ballpark of what Las Vegas will look like next year. We have reserved so much space in their main ballroom that we could host 20 leagues there if needed. I'm excited and I think this spot will work, and with any luck, we'll remain within the Harrah's selection of hotels for years to come. Both sides want to continue to work together for this.
I think we'll also be at the Flamingo for football in 2007, but those details are still being finalized. We were at the Flamingo for football in 2004 and it was a nice facility...once you found the Convention Center!
I think we also have a signed contract to return to the Donald E. Stephens Center in Chicago for baseball in 2007, but we don't have signed contracts for New York or Florida yet. I'm talking with the Javits Center in New York as they have three times the space we had last year at the New York Hilton. I'd like to get feedback from our New York members before finalizing this yet. I haven't found the ideal spot in Florida yet, either.
This gives us all plenty of time to prepare for 2007. It will be here before you know it.
