Mark my words Champ. 30 players x $5/per player = $150 total spent by Glenneration X on the 2014 MLBC.

The only question I have in my mind is how much of your $50K cut on last year's Main Event winnings you plan on spending here. If I was a betting man, I'd guess no more than $49K....give or take a couple bucks or two.

Yeah right. Don't really think you want to finish last. ill think ill come in somewhere between 600 and 700

You've run out of folks to 'Mark your words', Glenn.
You're not like me, though your aspirations are duly noted.
After five minutes in a dollar store, you'll be seen running across the street to a 'top of the line' dealer.
You can't help it. It's a part of you.
It's the same reason you don't have a KIA in your driveway. The same reason why a two or thee bedroom home wasn't 'good enough'.
A Maya for you, is tip money. Not a meal :D
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Hopefully you guys dont let that miggy guy make it back to us with our second pick. Dan and I might need our entire 8 hours to make that call. Bama and Lowry you 2 dont want to be responsible for holding the draft up do you?

Glenn, I wasn't left with $1. Just a slight exaggeration. I am pretty sure I had over $200 remaining and I did finish 3rd despite losing both of my closers early. Maybe it was that Trout/Miggy/Cano start to my draft :o . Oh and if anyone is wondering, Miggy won't make it to the 2nd round. 8-)

Thanks. I don't know how we've gotten along in this league w/o your expert knowledge.

See but that's where you're wrong Joe. In this game, there's two ways to win. Finish on top, which is the game we all know. Or finish with the best "cost to finish ratio"...thus being named MOY (Manager of the Year). Cost consciousness is the key there. Some play the first game only, some the second, others like myself plan to win both pots.[/quote]

Bingo :D

One live FAAB right after the draft. Thereafter, same schedule as other NFBC leagues.
One live FAAB right after the draft is best described as one live session spending FAAB money like Fleming at Spearmint Rhino right after the draft.
You must have me confused with Lindy

In the first year that this ran I won MOY in one of the two leagues, while also finishing second. It was purely as a low market squad though, not playing the middle game. And that was long before many of the new-fangled advanced strategies came into play.

Yeah, no one has done it since Dave. I had MOY + plus 3rd place locked up 2 yrs ago if my pitchers would've gotten to 1000 IP instead of 999+2/3.

I remember that. Crazy.
It's viable, considering so many teams punt power.

JP didn't bring you in to help him win MOY so y'all will be taking a shot at Glenn, Flem, and now surely the law firm of Greenberg & Dobies  Add in Matt & KJ and you got 5 whales to battle for 3 spots. You gotta pony up to get in that battle but if you can the odds are better than taking on the rest of the league for 1 spot (MOY).

So, as far as Fast Billy there ain't no way in hell you or any other $ team is taking him in the 1st rd. You would love it if one of the other big boys did b/c it would kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone - handicap the high roller & screw a MOY tm goin for speed.

It's all good, keep doing your thing...you the jester, keep entertainin'.

btw if i win $60K tomorrow night in the King of the Court there's ONE more $ team in this thing.

consider yourselves warned

DA & Gekko in the same chatroom will be reason enough to fire up some fresh Orville Redenbacher every night. Better go load up!

An assumption like that could very easily see you (and other small market teams) accidentally get stuck over the 40 point benchmark. Good luck with that!
