Fanduel To Sponsor NCAA Viewing Party: March 27th
It's so damn cold here in Wisconsin right now that I have to take my mind off of sub-zero temperatures by planning a party in Las Vegas. And that is going to be a PARTY to remember!!
We still have some work to do with sponsorships, but for all of you coming out to Las Vegas this year mark down Thursday, March 27th as the day to arrive. We have an Executive Penthouse suite at the Bellagio rented for our NCAA Viewing Party and we'll welcome in all participants for a little gathering upstairs. All Second Weekend participants are invited to attend and if all works out it will be gratis for available food, drink and camaraderie. We think we have something nice cooked up for you thanks to a sponsor who wants to meet and greet everyone. This would be a great way to start out the weekend. Stay tuned. We'll see what we can cook up in New York with this sponsor as well.
But plan on coming in a day early to start out the Las Vegas weekend. For those who are drafting in the Main Event on Wednesday night, we'll have the Executive Penthouse suite available then as well for a pre-draft gathering. Depending on how many LV drafters we have, we might even do that draft upstairs in this side room. It's a great setup.
Anyway, we're finalizing some deals now and working with the Bellagio on all of this, but everything looks great for a fun kickoff of Second Weekend upstairs on Thursday night. Place your bets for the four Thursday games, come upstairs for some fun and then if a limo goes to a gentlemen's club, well, those things happen in Vegas. Some guys also want to do a Primetime League or Auction League that night and we have space for both, so plan accordingly if that excites you. The party will be going on before and after those are complete. C'mon, plan for an early arrival and don't stop until Sunday night's final events are complete!!!
Look for more details soon, but the Kickoff Party is ON and you are all invited. Thanks all.

Re: Fanduel To Sponsor NCAA Viewing Party: March 27th
We're happy to announce today that Fanduel.com will once again be a major part of the NFBC this year. We worked closely with Fanduel last year on a number of promotions and we're upping the ante even more this year.
Here are some of the ways we are going to be working with Fanduel this year:
** Fanduel.com will sponsor our NCAA Viewing Party in Las Vegas on Thursday, March 27th at the Bellagio. This year we have rented an Executive Penthouse Suite in the Spa Tower and everyone is welcome to kick off their weekend with free drinks and some food upstairs. We will invite everyone upstairs at 4 pm PT and enjoy the camaraderie before everyone has to compete against each other. It's a perfect way to start the Second Weekend in Las Vegas and we look forward to having the guys from Fanduel.com up there with us. Come to Las Vegas early and enjoy the kickoff party.
** We will again work together this year to save you $100 on ANY NFBC entry if you create a new account or add $50 to your existing account on Fanduel.com. We'll have a special promo code for this shortly, so don't sign up yet, but we want everyone to know that we have a great savings for everyone this year and you can't go wrong by signing up for this one. More details will be coming once we have the landing page created, but we're excited to offer this savings to you this year and this time there are no exceptions on how you qualify. As long as you have one NFBC team in 2014, you qualify for the $100 savings. We know you have a lot of choices in the daily industry and it's a space we don't serve, so trust in Fanduel and bring some of those winnings back to our contests. Good luck all and enjoy.
** Finally, we are going to work with Fanduel this year to create some Friday contests for just NFBC owners that include a free entry into the 2015 NFBC Main Event. The goal is to have a $25 or $50 entry point on a Friday night with a winner-take-all $1,600 prize. At $50 per team, you'd have less than 40 teams entered for a shot at a free NFBC entry. Not a bad deal. We'll introduce this in April and if demand is there we will do this regularly. We'll also do this in the NFFC, where I think demand will be very strong for a weekly contest like this. Should be fun and thanks to Fanduel for allowing us to run this on their site.
This is a good start to the season everyone. Welcome back Fanduel.com and THANKS for working with our customers. The savings they will get on 2014 NFBC entries will be much appreciated again.

Re: Fanduel To Sponsor NCAA Viewing Party: March 27th
When $100 a plate meatballs don't satisfy, always go with pizza and subs!!! Oh yeah, we are going to load up the joint with enough drinks and food to get your night started. We know this won't be the final stop of the night for everyone and some folks love to go out for better meals, so let's welcome everyone to Las Vegas in fine fashion, wet your whistle a bit and put a little food in your bellies. The sportsbook isn't far away and we'll put the games on the 3 or 4 TVs we have in the suite. It might get cramped upstairs, but we'll learn from this party and get more rooms next year if needed!!!King of Queens wrote:This should be a lot of fun. It's a great way to kick off the Second Weekend and we thank Fanduel.com for helping us make it happen. I know all of you will thank them as well.

I make the motion that Fan Duel also sponsor the post viewing party NFBC limo buses to the Spearmint Rhino. Anyone second the motion?

Then you're first in line!! We won't charge anyone who signed up for this event online and we haven't charged anything other than the Draft Champions Leagues so far. Charges won't begin until Feb. 15th on all of the rest, so we'll just delete these signups. Thanks Doug.ReedBTLines wrote:What if we already signed up? Re: Fanduel To Sponsor NCAA Viewing Party: March 27th
It's time to welcome in the Second Weekend drafters to Las Vegas and what better way to do that then with the NCAA Viewing Party. Here's the details for this one:
NFBC's NCAA Viewing Party
Thursday, March 27th, Starts At 4 p.m. PT
Location: Penthouse Suite in the Spa Towers
Time: 4-10 pm PT
Cost: Free to NFBC owners and co-owners/pretty accomplices
How To Get In: We'll meet at the base of the elevators near the DaVinci Ballrooms. We'll try to have someone down there from 4-6 to bring everyone upstairs. Be patient down there as we bring people up the elevator and if you're waiting too long just email me or Tom at [email protected] or [email protected]
Drinks: We'll have beer, soda, water, maybe a little more until all runs out. We'll bring in some pizza and subs too
NCAA Games: The first game starts at 4:15 PT. We'll have it on the big TV, but Wisconsin gets it at 4:45!!!
NFBC Primetime Las Vegas: This league will be held downstairs in Tower Ballroom 3. It will be set up in advance, so if you go there you'll be all set up and ready to go. This one starts at 6 pm PT. We'll start this one on time and have some wraps and sandwiches for you here as well as drinks. This one won't take 3 hours to complete, I'm sure.
NFBC Platinum Drawing: This will be held upstairs in the suite starting promptly at 7 pm PT. We'll do that in the boardroom with everyone having one baseball in a box. Once the baseball has been picked, the person drawn will select a draft spot and we'll list them on a white board for all to see. We'll do this process until all 15 picks are made. Should be fun.
Again, we'll watch games upstairs until the beer is gone or until all have left for Spearmint Rhino!!! You are all on your own for that one, but remember that auctions start at 9 am the next day!! Be ready for the real reason you're coming to Sin City!!
Thanks all. I have no idea how many people are attending and I don't know if I have enough room, but we'll find out. Again, meet at the base of the elevators and we'll do what we can to get everyone upstairs and then at 6 pm several folks will be drafting downstairs. It should work out.
The folks from Fanduel will also be in attendance and we'll make sure you meet with them. They are sponsoring this party, so it better be good!!!

The party room is all set up and loaded with munchies and drinks. We also have our Platinum draft position selection process all set up and ready to go. That will start promptly at 7 pm PT. Should be fun.
Two different TVs with NCAA games on as well. Should be fun. Safe travels all and we'll see you down by the DaVinci Rooms and in the Spa Towers suite. Should be fun.
