7 SPOTS LEFT In NFBC Chicago Main Event

Okay, we got a request from our die-hard Chicago Auction League players that they would do anything for an NFBC Auction Championship, even if it meant drafting in Jack Haan's basement. We heard the requests, did our due diligence by talking with past players and have decided to host Chicago drafts and auctions. Not only that, but the contests are now available on Registration on a first-come, first-serve basis.
At this point we are looking to host this in Northbrook and possibly at the STATS offices. More details to come, but plan accordingly. We have three contests available and we'll likely fill one of each in Chicago and move on. If there's demand for a second Main Event we'll do what we can to accommodate, but first 15 in are guaranteed a spot in a full, live league.
Here's the schedule of events in Chicago for anyone interested. Again, sign up online as these are all available on Registration:

Thanks everyone for pushing us to do this live in Chicago. We never wanted to abandon our home city, but the number of live participants in the Windy City have dwindled to the point where it was tough to fill these contests. The fact that so many people asked for the Auction Championship made it the right move to offer all three events to anyone who was willing to travel to Chicago for the camaraderie and competition that we've created here over the last decade. Let's keep it going and keep that going.
We promise to make it special at the live event and if all goes well we won't leave the city anytime soon. This is a great, great group of die-hard players that we'd like to keep together for years to come. Good luck all.
Okay, now let's fill these leagues up and represent Chicago proudly. Who's ready to jump in?

I've never actually been to Jack Haan's house but have seen the kitchen via video of kds. He's not far from me and a good guy. I'd draft from his basement anytime. I'll sign up not for Northbrook or Jack's basement or whatever.

You're the first Chicago 3-Pack Dave. Thanks. I hear Jack has a great Man Cave, but we'll leave that alone for now and see what we can do in Northbrook. Should be fun. Thanks and good luck.

You guys can come over for an auction whenever you want, even if I'm not drafting. We just repainted the basement this past weekend and ordered new carpeting for it. It's like brand spanking new!!

We officially have 8 owners signed up for the Chicago Auction Championship in Northbrook, Illinois as Tim Short is coming from Ohio. I know there are several other owners still working on travel, but I think we are headed toward a sellout in all three live events in Chicago. It's great to keep this gang together.

I'm working on the Sheraton Northbrook for a room block. Hopefully they get back to me today. Tom and I stay there all the time when we are there for meetings and it's a very nice, new hotel with a Buffalo Wild Wings across the street for late night munchies!!!

I'll get a rate posted as soon as we finalize this, but hang in there for now. Should be nice.
All of this is a short distance from O'Hare and right off I-294.

We added Chicago the NFBC lineup card in 2014 because there was a strong desire to do a live Auction Championship. Now we're just 5 spots away from a full league. We also added both Main Events to take care of those guys who came to Chicago for the Auction and now it looks like we have one full Main Event League already. Let's fill up a second one and finish off that Saturday night Primetime League as well. Good start everyone.
I'll reach out to a few of the guys who originally committed to the Chicago Auction Championship and get them signed, sealed and delivered. Let's do this.
Here's the current signup list for the Chicago Auction League on Friday, March 28th:

We are looking at two new facilities in the Northbrook area along with the Sheraton Northbrook. I have a room block set up at the Sheraton, but let us look at this one other facility this week first. I know folks want to make travel plans, but I also want to have you folks stay at the best facility. We'll make sure we have rooms for you available. Right now the Sheraton is $129 per night.
We got another Main Event signup today and another owner will do it if we can have a full 2nd league. I think another Chicago veteran is going to sign up this week as well. Let's fill up this 2nd Main and get that final spot in the Primetime filled. Good job all.
This is the week Bill!!!
