HIGH STAKES AL and NL only COMBO LEAGUE

It's not a true off-season until I come begging, I mean recruiting for this unique league set-up.

You own two franchises, one in an AL only draft league and the other in an NL only auction league. There are twelve teams per league.

The AL draft and the NL auction are run as stand alone leagues, paying the top-two in each.

Then we combine the roto points from each into the OVERALL championship which pays the champ and runner-up.

This is a KEEPER LEAGUE where you can protect 8 players per franchise. We also use a minor league roster.

Some franchises have partners that split duties (and costs) - one half runs the AL draft, the other the NL auction.

The entry is $1000 plus the fee for the scoring site which is still TBA but won't be more than $25.

I've played in a similar league hosted at ESPN.

My question, does this league also have a rule where a player on your AL team gets traded in real life to an NL team, you get him on your fantasy NL-only team? (And vice versa)

Cheers!

Our rule is a little different.

You keep him on the ORIGINAL squad for that season and he is INELIGIBLE to be picked up in his new league. If he is DROPPED, then he becomes part of the NEW league's free agent pool.

At the end of the season, if the player still has keeper eligibility remaining, he transfers over to your squad the other league (the one he is actually in). We have a conversion table to translate the round number from the AL draft to a dollar value for the NL auction and vice versa.

FWIW, free agents are treated in a similar manner. As an example, the owner of Carlos Beltran will have him transferred from his NL team to his AL team and he can be kept in the round corresponding to his salary.

Hey Todd,
Why don't you step to the plate and represent your kind in the MTM Super? You'd be the perfect representative to pull off a possible victory on behalf of the "experts" community. ;) Just don't bring Lawr with you. We need to save some pot for everyone else.

Sorry don't have the coin.

This is the second time you've commented on Lawr. I'll make it simple. STFU. Take your act elsewhere.

Lighten up, Francis. Geez! Sure he's a big boy and can stick up for himself should he find my ball busting not his cup of tea, LZ.

The name is Todd and I'll lighten up - it may take a couple years but I'll lighten up - but not about this. You bust the balls of your buddies. Well, Lawr isn't your buddy, he's mine and your ball busting of my buddy isn't my cup of tea. You didn't bust his balls, you publicly insulted him.

Sorry Todd, but that's your interpretation, and it wasn't my intention. If you didn't notice, I also "publicly insulted" the entire MTM Super league list of registrants as well by your logic. So I'll just be sure to avoid mentioning Lawr or you anymore for that matter so as to avoid ruffling your respective feathers in the future. Let's just leave it at that...and P.S. I will most definitely be taking my act elsewhere. Yours and his have gotten painfully stale.

Consider it left at that.

Please pardon me, I have a league to fill. Though I think I'll start a new thread and let this one fade away.

Okay, probably a good idea. Sorry. I wasn't trying to screw this one up for you. I have a league of my own to fill as well. Good luck with yours.
