DC drafts shouldn't be shortened in any way

Post by Parnelli » Mon Jan 20, 2014 5:32 pm

The talk of lowing rounds gets under my skin...Baseball should be 50 and football 35 rounds...The last few rounds seperates the men from the boys.....just do your homework ppl...

I think the ppl that want these drafts shortened are only good at chalk picks... Really good drafters will find value in the late late rounds......Just like Bobby Rainey in football.....ect...The list is a mile long

Everything should stay the same....An auto draft in the late rounds is silly too... I like to base my pick sometimes on what i got in the previous round....I don't see anything wrong with the way DC is set up now...So why change it..

If anything, in the days of less PEDs and more injuries, we need 2-5 more rounds. Just check out the free agent pool at the end of the year in a DC league. Tons of guys with over 150 ABs and 50 IP. Then check out how many guys have missed significant time with injury.

They have almost 60 DC leauges already so ppl must like the format....If they lower rounds , drafting in December would make less sense too.

Nobody has talked about lowering the number of rounds in baseball, Parnelli. Only in football were we inquiring about it and it sure looks like the consensus wants 35 rounds there. Nobody else goes that deep, but we're happy to go 35 rounds in football and 50 in baseball.

I know that if we would have left this thread alone that Parnelli would have had 20 answers for himself.
It was like there was a real to life' ghost writer' posting replies that only Parnelli could see.
Fascinating.

Sorry for ranting on this subject. It just irked me that some ppl had posted on other threads that 35 and 50 rounds was too many. Baseball is such a long season ,football too. Less rounds just seemed silly to me..

Not able to log onto the NFFC forums, but I hope they keep the 35 rds in the NFFC DC leagues. Here were my last 5 picks:

31 - J. Boykin (WR - GB)
32 - M. Jones (WR - CIN)
33 - G. Graham (TE - HOU, drafted O. Daniels)
34 - J. Hunter (WR - TEN)
35 - D. Davis (QB - ATL, drafted M. Ryan)

31 through 34 all helped me at some point or another throughout the season.
