55 homers, 130 rbi, and Kate Upton

First this-

Miguel Sano said he will hit 45 home runs next season.

Sano was asked about his homer total jumping from 20 in 2011 to 28 in 2012 to 35 last year. "I hit 45 this year," he responded. "More games. Maybe 55, you never know." Sano's 2014 goal is to develop a better strike zone grasp and become a more patient hitter. "Hundred and 20," Sano said, predicting his 2014 walk total this time. "Maybe 150." One of baseball's top prospects said he has "a fairly [large] amount of expectation to make the team" out of the spring. We think the 20-year-old Dominican slugger will start the season in the minors.

Then this-

The White Sox "love" top prospect Courtney Hawkins' ceiling, writes MLB.com's Phil Rogers.

White Sox assistant general manager Buddy Bell on Sunday said Hawkins has 40 homer, 130 RBI upside. To come anywhere close to reaching it, Hawkins needs to improve his grasp of the strike zone and eliminate holes in his elongated swing. The 13th overall pick in 2012's draft struggled through a horrific 2013 season as a 19-year-old, slashing .178/.249/.384 at High-A Winston-Salem. Hawkins could end up being a poor man's Nelson Cruz.

This is just stupid.
A guy in a suit can assign upside to any prospect and any prospect can brag that he'll hit 45 or 55 homers.
Few have actually done it lately.
'll call a press conference and announce that I plan on bedding Kate Upton. I can think or say it all I want, a perfect storm can happen, and it still wouldn't happen. But somehow, it's 'news'.
It's January. Every baseball player is better in January than April.
Just ask them.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

I'm in the best shape of my life this off-season, Doughy. I slept with the Homecoming Queen in High School 20 + years ago...so shooting for Kate should be reasonable, right?

Joe, 20+ years later you got something better than being in the best shape of your life and even a homecoming queen.
Congratulations! :D
