First of all, thanks for the compliments on the National Fantasy Baseball Championship Draft Day. We appreciate the good things you've had to say and we also appreciate all of the honest suggestions that have been made to make this event even better in the future. I think it's obvious that Krause Publications is totally committed to this high stakes event and we'll do whatever it takes to make this the best contest/event in the country.
That being said, we can only be the best if we have the best fantasy players in the country and there is no question in our minds that we've found the perfect mix of players to represent the NFBC. Although we haven't had a formal meeting yet, just the phone conversations with all of the staff members who were in Las Vegas, New York and Chicago said that they were so pleased with the way all of our participants handled themselves. Everyone was courteous of others at the draft table, everyone allowed the time for those who picked players who were already selected to have a second and sometimes even third chance, they put up with us when we scrambled to find draft facilitators, and they even put up with the guy next to them who may have taken a little bit more of their space than was necessary.
I felt honored to work with my group of people in Las Vegas as all of the participants were courteous and very nice. Our Friday night gathering with Marty Barrett and ESPN's Brandon Funston and Eric Karabell was special and a great, great time for all who made it. The Auction Leagues were exciting and having Meat Loaf in the Auction League and the NFBC was fantastic as he was as intense with his draft preparation and selections as anyone else.
We will continue to make this more than just an online contest as our live drafts will continue to attract celebrity guest speakers, our goodie bags will continue to expand with free giveaways and our on-site coordination will continue to improve. We promise to make this even better in the future.
Continue to give us honest feedback as we want to make this better and I've already heard about the problem with cell phones at the draft, the problem with hearing picks from other leagues and even the lack of food being available. We will consider all of those concerns and find a way to make it better for everyone. Thanks for any feedback you give us and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize.
THANK YOU NFBC MEMBERS!
