420 Teams For NFBC Main Event
As we close out the month of February tonight, we are happy to report that we have 300+ teams signed up right now for the 11th annual Main Event. We have sold out the Main Event each of the last 9 years and last year we finished with 435 teams.
Keep an eye on each date for each city or Online because there is a chance we will shut off some spots once we get to full leagues. We will likely close out First Weekend signups on the weekend of March 14th.
Keep the signups coming and we'll update this thread as we get closer to more full leagues. It's time to secure those spots in the NFBC Main Event folks or miss out on a shot at this year's $125,000 grand prize. Thanks all.
And the NFBC Primetime has 140+ teams locked and loaded for that 12-team Main Event and the $100,000 grand prize. Last year we finished with 228 teams. This contest has an even better ROI at this point and also has certain dates and times close to selling out. Please look online for open dates and secure your spots soon for a shot at this big grand prize.
Thanks all.

Re: 340+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
We now have over 340 teams for the NFBC Main Event with 2+ weeks of Registration still to go and 160+ signups for the NFBC Primetime. We are working hard to close out the First Weekend live drafts and auctions now along with the mid-week drafts before Second Weekend. If you have a desire to compete in any of those events, sign up now or contact me at [email protected]. We may have to close out some events soon or decide to go for one more league in some events.
Keep an eye on the Countdown page for all contests and again contact me or Tom ([email protected]) if you have any availability questions. We are looking forward to a great year, but all leagues need to be filled soon. Thanks all.

Re: 340+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
Just a heads up that we are at 133 teams for the Main Event on the First Weekend, including a perfect 60 in New York. That being said, we still have plenty of time before next weekend and it's possible that we can fill up that 3rd Main Event Online league perfectly. The next two Main Event signups will be guaranteed spots as part of our 9th full league, but let's shoot for 150 teams and 10 leagues for a great early start to the season.
Thanks all.
The Primetime on the First Weekend still has the potential for 3 more full leagues Online. These will be totally Online leagues, so give them a look as the Primetime is currently under 180 teams with an incredible ROI. And if you are in the Main Event already and want a realistic shot at the $75,000 grand prize, these have to be great options. Anyway, here's those available First Weekend Primetime leagues:
ONLINE
Friday, March 21, 4 p.m. ET
1. Matthew Anderson, Villa Grove, Illinois
2. Eric Karlovic, des Peres, Missouri
3. Bill Strickler, Holiday, Florida
4. James Stanard, Edwards, Colorado
5. Brent Gardner, Modesto, California
6. Michael O'Brien, Brighton, Colorado
7. Joshua Rasmusson, Plymouth, Minnesota
ONLINE
Saturday, March 22, 7 p.m. ET
1. Patrick Gagne & Emmett Ruland, Sutton, Quebec
2. Seth Poppel, Las Vegas, Nevada
3. Robert Sargent, Portland, Oregon
4. Joshua Rasmusson, Plymouth, Minnesota
5. Joseph Martens, Bloomington, Illinois
6. Ted Jarzabek, Oaklawn, Illinois
7. Eric Heberlig, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania
ONLINE
Sunday, March 23, 1 p.m. ET
1. Jeffrey Cook, Little Valley, New York
2. Michael Cameron, Encinitas, California
3. Eric Heberlig, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania
4. James Stanard, Edwards, Colorado
5. Jeff Dobies, Farmingville, New York
6. Dave Potts (LV)
Thanks all.

Re: 365+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
We're pushing toward 370+ teams now for the Main Event. We need to fill up the March 22nd and March 26th Main Event Leagues first, so don't delay if you still want a spot in one of those leagues. Time is running out, but things are definitely moving in the right direction. Good job all and let's keep it moving.
We're also nearing 200 teams for the NFBC Primetime after having 228 teams last year. Again, we've made a nice run there this week so let's fill up those final Online leagues and get it done. Thanks all.

Re: 365+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
Greg: Would be cool if you open up a ME league for Tuesday night the 25th in light of the FBPC fold (that was when most were doing it). I think you would fill it easily.
Re: 370+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
FYI if you access the countdown page from this forum it takes you to this link that says there is no availability...
http://nfbc.stats.com/baseball/contest_capacity.asp
But if you access the countdown page from elsewhere on the site it takes you to the correct link...
http://nfbc.stats.com/baseball/contest/ ... ntdown.asp
You might lose 1 or 2 who think you are full.

Re: 375+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
We are approaching 380 teams for the Main Event as the Wednesday, March 26th date is just exploding. We may have 6 leagues Online that night. I have a feeling that we still have a lot of interest in the March 29th Online date as well, but spots are going to be limited as a sellout is now within reach. Don't delay on the Main Event if you plan on competing because we've had an unprecedented March run recently and leagues are going to fill with perfect 15's pretty soon. Thanks all.

Congrats Greg and Tom. Looking forward to getting to Vegas and performing the Main Event tripleheader.
Re: 390+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
Greg,
Any guess as to what time leagues and draft spots will be announced tomorrow? Thanks.

Tom is going to run those in the morning and you'll see them on your team pages first as leagues are formed. We're not going to do a Message Board first listing because with the current setup it's easier to just load each league and have them show up on your team pages. We can post all after they are loaded.ALL-IN JD wrote:Greg,

Look before noon and hopefully we'll have a good start. Tom will post an update as he gets rolling on these. Thanks.

Are we getting a lot of first-timers this year Greg; and are they gravitating more to the on-line leagues???

When will we be able to add co-managers?
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

I believe that once leagues are formed and set up, then you just have to go into League in the green navigational bar, pull down to Owner's List and I think you'll see an "Add Co-Manager" link there. That happens once the leagues are set up (i.e. Las Vegas League 2). Enjoy and good luck Champ.MadCow Sez wrote:When will we be able to add co-managers?

Re: 375+ Teams For NFBC Main Event
Well, there's no doubt we've added more new owners to the NFBC this year than ever before, but most of them are coming into the NFBC Draft Champions League and the Online Championship. The Main Event has some first time members as you can see from the signup thread, but the 15-team format is not an easy format to get the masses to join in full force. We're seeing that in football with our 14-team NFFC Classic, too. That's why we still feel that the 12-team Main Event is important for the NFBC because we do offer a more conventional stepping stone into our contests.Navel Lint wrote:Greg Ambrosius wrote:We are approaching 380 teams for the Main Event as the Wednesday, March 26th date is just exploding. The 15-teamer will always have a churn rate; heck, even some of our Charter Members have stepped away from the Main. But we're definitely attracted many new players to the NFBC this year and the No. 1 driver of that is SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio. There's no doubt about that.
