Is there a way to pick a player who is not in the current list of players?

Yes. Draft a placeholder (look towards the end of the player list). Identify your placeholder in the chat room, send an email to the NFBC identifying the league, placeholder, name of your pick, etc, and also send an email to the rest of your league.

Is there a way to pick a player who is not in the current list of players?

Search "Holder" and draft one of the placeholders. You have to announce the real player's name in draft room chat and send a league email with the name. That's how you claim an unlisted player.

Be careful the player wasn't already picked as that will require the draft to be paused and rolled back if any other picks were made before an Admin can help.
