That does it! I am truly convinced that I am cursed by the KDS Gods! Not to mention the Gods who draw these supposed random league set up's! And I thought I had it bad in NYC this past weekend.  I have to start doing some of those cupcake Main Event leagues on line. :?

What is the over/under on the number of players the fabulous Mr. X will poach from me over the course of the day? Well, at least the conversation will be fun.

Lowry, Cassavetes, Glukhovsky, Particelli, Potts, Fiore, Magner, Bendar in both Auction and Main Event, Beeler....and my 15th preference too! YeeHaww!

I am chum....

And a newbie like me gets his first choice of KDS, a league with fewer big names, and will probably waste the entry picking a crazy gimmick team.

Is Barry Bonds a placeholder pick? Can you do placeholders in fast drafts?

Can't resist rubbing salt in the MTM wound.

Wayne:

The thing that scares me about this league is that for ALL of us in LV 2
we will need to be on our game or face the wrath of the Wayne Edwards in season
Blog!

Good luck with Mr X, I had all I could handle with him this past weekend.
Dobies had him rattled, but he still has plenty of game! See you Saturday.

I'm liking LV4, a 1:14 shot in the league. MTM, thanks for paying

Seriously, I think Wiseguy Gene has been in my league the last 3 years running. Think he'll sign my copy of WGB?

I can't recall sitting anywhere aside from 11-15 slots. Wonder what the view will be like? 8-)

I thought there was a quota on guys from New Jersey in a single league. Hells bells, Kenny and I are gonna need a translator to understand all y'all. While we're at it, I think we have the entire fantasy baseball playing population of RI in this league....both of them.

Fear not Champ, I trust at the first break you will love your squad!

You had been telling the CDM crew this for nine straight years, so happens last season
you were on the money my friend! Best of luck in defending your title with Kenny N.

You have one helluva league, ( Massotto excluded, of course) but they are in for one
Helluva fight with the defending Champ. Best of luck Brother Dan!

Ps: let's invest in some of those Parlay Cards before they toss the Roundball up for old times same DS!

I think the only way to throw him off his game is to use the closer/closer gambit at the 1/2 turn. He won't stop laughing for eight more rounds!

Hopefully the blog will read more like Mercer vs Duke rather than Mercer vs Tennessee.

Come on now Mike, I've been watching your KDS preferences each time and the "Gods" have been good to you. Now it will be interesting to see if Scott has the same preferences you do when the Platinum baseballs are drawn. As for the tough league draws for you and everyone else, there are sharks everywhere these days. Nothing comes easily here anymore.

Great fun everyone and good luck. It should be a historic weekend of action.

I took a second look at all of the leagues, and although our league has 2 hall of famers and last years champ, the other leagues are stacked as well, including online. Should be a fun day. Seems as though it gets tougher every year but what else should we expect from the best fantasy baseball contest in the country with the top players to ever play the game. Looking forward to stealing all of Mike's picks. :D

Geez another draft with Massotto near the end of it, man that's where drafts go to die :? It's like playing golf with a spaz and he's trying to hit the ball out of the sandtrap.

 I mean you wonder what the holdup is.. you look up from your cheatsheets and see nothing but sand flying at the end of the table, oh that's right, Massotto's up

Hope you all have a blast in Vegas .Still pissed I couldn't make it out there this year.
Somewhere around 20 drafts this year and not once did I get the 1 pick. Just down right ugly.(lets hope this new faab set up is quicker)
Well at least I got my 11th choice with the main.
Good luck to all ,be safe and enjoy the drafts.

Wayne, I can only poach one player from you at a time. You can poach two from me at each turn!!!

All kidding aside, I look forward to drafting side by side against the great Wayne Edwards for the 2nd time out of 3 years. As well as going against all the other great players you listed above. Jeez, I can't seem to get away from Mr. Magner this year!!! Yet I have Massotto in no leagues. Tell me the Fantasy Gods aren't chuckling over that one!!! :?

Another challenging league. Well that's what being part of the NFBC is all about. Win or lose though, we'll have a blast. Look forward to it everyone.

So let's see here...I get to sit between the 3rd ranked (Rick Thomas) and 6th ranked (Lindy Hinkelman) overall Main Event participants according to KJ's blog rankings. At least they're two of the nicest guys in the NFBC.

I get to draft after all three of you have taken the good players. That's four top 50 players in a row. Plus, Stadtmueller (22) two picks before us. Oh, and Lopi Asch (86) and Dan Satinoff (92) and Larry Schechter (98) and Chris Liss and other veterans. Can I trade leagues please?

Just try to sneak in on the last open league like Gekko to avoid a least the volume of sharks! 8-)

And due to the fact that I have been a money mine for you for two years! Well, maybe we can catch up in Vegas, Scott, and you can give me tips on what I can do to have a chance in my shark league...did I say shark? Megalodon league is more like it!
