Re: Diamond League
Next year and beyond for the Diamond ... bid FAAB for draft slots, the playing field should be level pre-draft. I know I have 2 votes in the bag for this.

Re: Diamond League
Sure, I'm all for that in a private league like this. Someone suggested using real money instead for this or the Platinum league. I'm fine with anything you guys want to do going forward. It's no fun for us to have people upset with their draft picks in any of our leagues which is why we use KDS and in football we use Third Round Reversal. This is your league and if folks want to improve the draft selection process for a private league, we can accommodate.KJ Duke wrote:Next year and beyond for the Diamond ... bid FAAB for draft slots, the playing field should be level pre-draft. But otherwise this is a random selection process that then looks at your preferences and gives you the top available preference. Unfortunately, someone in this process always has to be the last of the draw and it sucks for those owners.

Re: Diamond League
Would be fine with using FAAB money. Less fine with real money.
Re: Diamond League
faab for draft slots or i am retiring from hi stake events, just too much money on the line for "randomness". just curious has anyone EVER won a private high stakes league from 15?? i already know the answer...NO... the deck is stacked against esp this year. we will see how it plays out but 1-15 kds and getting 15 is awesome!

Re: Diamond League
Not that this is any consolation, but I have won several high stakes events at #15. It is actually one of my favorite spots. Good luck!751542 wrote:faab for draft slots or i am retiring from hi stake events, just too much money on the line for "randomness". just curious has anyone EVER won a private high stakes league from 15?? i already know the answer...NO... the deck is stacked against esp this year. we will see how it plays out but 1-15 kds and getting 15 is awesome!

Ask Mike the Mouth. He loves the 15 spot!! And it would give us a 1 in 14 chance!!

I say we determine draft spots via footrace....let's say a 10K for the 10K?751542 wrote:faab for draft slots or i am retiring from hi stake events, just too much money on the line for "randomness". just curious has anyone EVER won a private high stakes league from 15?? i already know the answer...NO... the deck is stacked against esp this year. we will see how it plays out but 1-15 kds and getting 15 is awesome!
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Re: Diamond League
Just wait 'til Thursday night when the draft order process takes place for the $20k Platinum League. Somebody is going to have to draft from the back-end of the draft. Will be interesting to see how those owners who receive bad draft spots (in their opinion) react.
