Joe Mauer is this year's Giancarlo Stanton

They say not to jump to conclusions based on only the first few games of the season, but it seems evidently clear that Joe Mauer will be this year's Giancarlo Stanton. And when Josh Willingham eventually goes down, he will have even less protection in that lineup. The Twins lineup looks, at best, only marginally better than what Miami was throwing out there last year. Increased ABs was enticing going into the season, but think I overpaid for him in most drafts that I got him. Dave

Mauer has been one of the most overrated fantasy options for years. He could have Babe Ruth behind him and he'd still be nothing more than a really good average guy and maybe help you in RBIs, nothing more.
