Best start ever?

Post by RotoGut-Vlad » Thu Apr 03, 2014 1:17 pm

Not sure if this has ever occurred in NFBC history, and if so, if someone would even publicize this.

My Main Event team went 0-38 last night!

I can only laugh since it's week 1 and things can only get better (right?)

My team is hitting 8-146 (.053 on the season) and had Wilson Ramos. You can't make this stuff up.

Here's the jokester crew (including a couple ".300 guys")

Mauer/Ramos
Fielder/Gyorko/Lawrie/Jeter
Weeks/Carter/Butler
Ellsbury/Bruce/Young/Yelich/Bourjos

This does not include Marcus Semien who is 0-10 on my bench

On the bright side, good start from my pitching (Gray, Paxton, Erasmo) while G.Cole and Darvish have not even pitched yet.

Have you ever seen or heard of an Ofer day? Wouldn't wish it upon my toughest competitor. :)

Best,
Vlad

I've had some awful streaks Vlad but 8-146 is unreal. Like you said it can only get better and your pitching staff looks great. Good luck.

I have had many bad starts. Like hitting .180 for all of April. But that is truly brutal!!!!

Hang in there Vlad. Just means you have some awesome days coming when they all hit at the same time. :)

My PT was 12 for 124 before yesterday (.0967). Now I have shot all the way up to .183. Ha!

BUT ... did you get truly "bageled"?

A friend of mine in an 18 team mixed league had a day where the hitters not only went O-for but also had no runs scored, stolen bases, or rbis. Truly a Zero thus borrowing the tennis term - Bageled

Thanks, guys. Finally a decent hitting day (.351) powered by Ells and Bruce.

Archer / G.Cole / The Sink (Koehler) all won and put up decent outings over the last couple of days. Ready for Darvish!

It's a marathon, not a sprint of course...and I'm just now putting my shoes on and stretching. ;)
