Injuries to Mark Teixeira and Will Middlebrooks are threatening to delay or potentially block Johnson and Bogaerts from gaining eligibility at their new positions.
How many drafters built their rosters by counting on those new position eligibility? It may not be that big a deal for some Johnson owners who should still get to use him at CI but with the Red Sox likely to go with Jon Herrera at SS, you'd better have a backup plan for your SS/MI slot.
Is Herrera worth starting if you have him in a DC league?
Only if you're desperate.

FYI, Herrera appears to be starting at 3B, while Bogaerts is staying at SS. For those with Bogaerts, SS eligibility will be coming this week.Deadheadz wrote:Injuries to Mark Teixeira and Will Middlebrooks are threatening to delay or potentially block Johnson and Bogaerts from gaining eligibility at their new positions.

Actually, my prior post might be wrong. I was curious and Rotowire's MLB Daily Lineups has Bogaerts at SS. Rotoworld, however, has Herrera at SS. Guess we'll find out later. If Bogaerts is going to be the long-term SS, I would not be moving him around unnecessarily.
