Ron Shandler states if your in 5th or below as of May 1st you only have 20% chance of winning your league. So 80 % of you can now pack it up and prepare for football.

Considering you only have a one in 15 chance of winning your league on opening day, I think the one in five he's quoting now is pretty damn good.

I'll bet most of the people on this board have resurrected cellar dwelling teams that became contenders or champs.

I think there is a 100% change that this, like most of Ron's assessments, is pulled out of his ass. Let me guess...the context was to promote his month long fantasy leagues?

Shandler was wrong last year about Trout. Get over it. And Ron does not pull anything out of anywhere that there is not at least some empirical evidence to support, though it may not tailor well to the NFBC at times.

I have met him. Nice guy and very knowledgable.

Beating a dead horse? Oops. I thought I was providing a public service letting everyone know that Ron knew the score and it was OK to give up and move on. Great guy that he is. A monthly contest for us losers seems like a Great vision. All bow to the great wisdom of Ron!
