The Marlins are good. Once again they reinvent themselves with youth. The Mets, they got no offense and well they are called the Metsies for a reason. Marlins may very well win the division. The Mets should call up their prospects and let them all play this year, Just like the Marlins did last year. They should trade Duda, Murphy, Granderson and Colon, if they can kind find takers. Same old Mets.

1 game under .500 and 2.5 games out of first place. No reason to panic and they aren't trading anyone in May... what would be the point of that? Their starting pitching is outstanding. They need to fix the bullpen and they aren't going to trade their hitters to get a reliever. Wright and Grandy will come around. Murphy is a solid hitter. I can see them trading Colon eventually at some point. No one is taking charge of the NL East.
I still find it hilarious that you find it necessary to pound on the Mets and you don't concentrate on your over-age, over-rated team in the Bronx. Your team spent a lot of money to be mediocre.

mutts sp has been below mediocre, at least statistically. grandy come around? lmao. wright, sure. grandy? if come around is .210, i guess i can see it.
you are right, the east is completely up for grabs. atl's lineup is a mess. nats are overrated and have a horrible manager. mess are the mess. and miami can't win on the road.
ugly. whoever wins, won't be long for playoffs.

Agreed. I think we are seeing the real Granderson right now. A 1-4, 0-4, 0-4, 1-4, broken up occasionally by a good game.
The National League East is up for grabs and it looks like an ugly division.
The Mets, Marlins, and Phils have to hope that the Braves and Nats do not go on a month-long hot streak. They have the players that are capable of doing that. The Mets, Marlins, and Phils do not.

I just wish the Mets would do something right. They have sucked for 13 years. All I was doing was pointing out how the Marlins rebuild and Mets don't same capable of doing that, at least the Yankees are watchable, albeit an older team. Mets, no 1B, no C, no SS, Below avg 2B, OF is terrible, all they got is Wright and their Bullpen is full of rejects and has beens, jsut the way i see it. Maybe try Lagares the rest of the year, but the rest of them, ick...

The Yankees are wishing they had the Mets "below average" 2nd baseman. Batting .322, 27 runs scored, 8 SB, and didn't have a bad year last year either. Very underrated player....

Actually he has been an above average 2nd baseman for several years now, not just his performance in this series.... I would be very worried if I were the Yankees. Giving up 21 runs to the Mets in 2 days is not a good sign for the Yankee pitching staff. I don't expect the Mets to be more than a .500 team this year, but I would think, if I spent $500,000,000 in the offseason, I would have a team performing a little better. Please don't give me the injury excuse either.. Every team has significant injuries... Sabathia stunk before he got hurt and Kuroda is old. The Mets lost their best pitcher and closer and are keeping pace. Not a good sign Yankee fans.

Like i said enjoy the fun times... Yankees will be fine, Cant win every year and still along ways to go this year... could they spend money more wisely sure, but their game plan is to win every year, not rebuild every year... Mets have been dreadful for 13 years now... We'll see how the rest of the year plays out...

Mike, It's interesting how you make these bold statements all over the message board, then when someone questions your words or opinions, you back off or change your story. The best one is, "The Yankees can't win every year", while attacking the Mets. With the amount of money the Yankees spend, you would think they would be able to gather a few guys that can pitch. Alfredo Aceves, Vidal Nino... These guys don't belong in the majors.

Alan- Fan speak... if you read what I have been posting recently about the Yankees and even last year, I I've been ripping them on their moves and garbage pitchers and stupid $$$ moves. Actually the past 2 years I have questioned most of their moves. As for the Mets, all I say is, its just always more of the same, losing and no playoffs. We are both just passionate fans and I've stated a few times I would love to see the Mets be a good team again. I say CC sucks and get ripped for saying that... still doesn't change the fact, he sucks and is in a major decline and is a big waste of money IMO.
The only difference between the Mets and Yankees presently, is that the Yanks can still try to spend their way out of the mess they are in and the Mets cannot.
