COL-SF game won't be finished until September ... will the stats through 6 innings be added to fantasy team scoring now, or when the game is finished four months from now?

I will ask IT tonight. Yeah, with this one being made up in September we need to make sure we have current stats showing. I'll see what they say and post here.KJ Duke wrote:COL-SF game won't be finished until September ... will the stats through 6 innings be added to fantasy team scoring now, or when the game is finished four months from now?
I'm pretty sure they only need to be in the lineup right now (yesturday) for the stats to count in September when the game is finished. Even if they are not in the lineup in September when the game is finished, all nine innings should count. Am I correct Greg?Bronx Yankees wrote:Good question. Also, if the stats don't count now but only when the game is finished, then I'm guessing that we don't get any stats from today unless the player is in our starting lineup when the game is completed. Correct?

I am checking on this now. This is a unique one with the suspended game being made up in September, so I want to get all the facts correct before posting exactly how this is being recorded now. Crazy weather, hey Denver?GetALife wrote:I'm pretty sure they only need to be in the lineup right now (yesturday) for the stats to count in September when the game is finished. This is not correct. MLB is counting the stats now. I'm expecting NFBC to do the same, but as of now they are still not showing. Greg, can you please provide a clarification. Thanks.Captain Hook wrote:MLB does not count the stats until the game is completed ... This was before my time in the NFBC, but here's a great example of the weirdness that falls in the recent suspended games category. On April 28 2008, the Orioles and White Sox played 11 innings at The Cell until rain forced a stoppage. Of course it was the only scheduled trip for the Os to Chicago that year and this was the last game of a wrap around weekend series. They picked the game up almost 4 months later on August 25 when Chicago was in Baltimore for the return trip, playing in Camden Yard as the home team. No idea how this was handled over here, but for MLB the official game logs have all stats effective April 28th. That includes a note for Ken Griffey Jr, who officially played for both the Reds and Pale Hose that day (as he was traded that year to Chicago in July, and pinch hit for Brian Anderson when the game resumed in August). Here's the box score for the curious.Greg Ambrosius wrote:I do not have an answer yet, but we are definitely looking at this. In past years, I don't believe the suspended games were made up three months later, so this wasn't an issue. I didn't get a final answer yesterday, but will update as soon as I know how this game is being handled.
What will really make it interesting is if a pitcher starts the game for one team, gets traded midseason and becomes the pitcher of record for the other team. You could actually have a pitcher win and lose the same gameChris Hahn wrote:This was before my time in the NFBC, but here's a great example of the weirdness that falls in the recent suspended games category. Interesting thought, but not true. Huff is the only pitcher that could lose the game because he left a runner on base and if he does lose it than Masset will be the pitcher of record for Colorado.MadCow Sez wrote:What will really make it interesting is if a pitcher starts the game for one team, gets traded midseason and becomes the pitcher of record for the other team. Greg Ambrosius wrote:All teams that had players in this suspended game going last week WILL receive these stats once this game is completed. The system knows which teams had active players that day, but the stats aren't loaded until the game is complete. But you will get those stats when the game is completed in September. Hopefully this helps explain how the Suspended Game is being handled; any player who was on your roster when this game started will have stats through five innings loaded when the game is completed in September.
For example: I had Cuddyer in my lineup in that game. I have since cut him. Another team added him. I'm assuming I get his totals from what already happened in the game and what will happen today as well. Sound about right?Hells Satans wrote:This game picks up tomorrow. Explain to me how this will work. As of now, my understanding is that none of the stats from that game are included in our totals. Will all of the stats from the completed game (from players who were in our lineups in May) be included in our stats regardless of whether the players are still in our lineup this week? Or even if they are still on our team? What if they are now on another NFBC team?
Cocktails and Dreams wrote:So if I were to use Casilla and he were to pitch today in that game I wouldn't get the stats? That is not right, nor should I get further hitting stats from my batters unless they are in my lineup. The stats from that period SHOULD already be in the standings as what is done is done. And what happens now in the game SHOULD be included on what you set for now. This action is happening now. This seems ridiculous. And since they are operating in this manner we have to manually figure out the impact of the KC game throughout the season. Bottom line it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to get stats for games now if you don't have that guy in your lineup now. And it makes no sense to not get stats now for a guy you have in there now. The stats are happening now.
