Is Corey Hart droppable in a 12-team league?

Needing healthy bats and other DL players coming back sooner.
Hart is expected to miss 4-6 weeks (some sources say that's optimistic) with a Grade 2 hamstring strain.
Dropping him may not necessarily mean he gets picked up immediately by another team.
Can you stash him on waivers until the news is better?
