I've seen some bad ones over the years. Usually by younger drafters on free drafts. But the NFBC is not clean either.
The name of a team I spotted was "Broccoli and Anal Sex". Do we really need this in the NFBC? I think not! The owner has been a player in the NFBC for some time. I've never met him but I'm told he's famous. I wouldn't know. He doesn't write about baseball. Anyhow I think there is a limit to what a team is named. I'd hate to see team names policed by Greg. I think we can police ourselves with better judgement. So I'm reaching out to everyone to use good judgement here on out.
Thank you

P.S. I hate broccoli !!!!!!!

I saw that too a while back.... i agree with your sentiments, but, lest we sat too much....the free speech police will attack... As Dough, says, yester year was not so bad..

Free speech is a myth.Outlaw wrote:I saw that too a while back.... i agree with your sentiments, but, lest we sat too much....the free speech police will attack... As Dough, says, yester year was not so bad..
Take LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling for example. I do not agree with most of his opinions but it seems strange to me the NBA can ban him for life over his (supposedly private) words.
Sure, if they feel financially damaged over his behavior they should be able to prove that in court and he would pay the price, both damages and punitive.
But ban him for life? What's next...
...will NFBCers have a vote and ban ME for life?

What do you have to say about this thread, Sgt. Hulka?

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

This is why I name most of my teams after dogs. Nobody could possibly be offended by that.
