Mark Buehrle.
It's a great story that you can link to from espn.com's mlb site.
Or just go to grantland.com

Was also going to say that:
As far as fantasy baseball goes, he's a guy I've rarely had any interest in ever drafting for obvious reasons but he's always been one of my favorite pitchers to watch and cheer for. Wish a lot more pitchers would work at the pace that Buehrle does.

buerle is just a winner. he will never go down as a great pitcher- but he does help a team win. i have seen him take shelling's for the sox- without complaint- to save the bullpen. he never whined about some of the defense that was played behind him. his whip got high because he would just pitch around guys that would hurt him. his era went up because he would just pound the zone with big leads- and homers were hit. guys like nolan ryan- who would never do that- were more interested in their own stats. if you put buerle in the nl- san diego sf- and say peavy in sox park to start their careers- those numbers might be reversed. peavy is nowhere near the pitcher buerle is.
