NFBC Updated Contest Records: 2004-2014

Posted: Fri Oct 03, 2014 2:14 pm
by Greg Ambrosius
The NFBC Main Event started in 2004 and every year we like to list the leaders in each of the 10 different statistical categories. It's an honor to lead any category in a given year, but obviously the ultimate goal is to win the most points and win that $125,000 grand prize.

Anway, it's also neat to look at how the categories change from year to year and each year I list the top team in each category. These aren't the Top 10 teams in each category; rather they are the leaders from each of the 11 years in the NFBC. And we not only list these record-holders for the Main Event but for our other national contests as well. We'll update this list under our NFBC Players link on the NFBC Home page, but I thought you'd like to see them here first. Enjoy and congrats to everyone on this list of Record Holders:

Hi Greg- I was scanning these and they seem to be inaccurate. For example the 11th best ERA in Main Event History is 3.580. I noticed other ones incorrect as well just with a quick scan. It may make sense to re-do these before posting to the website for the archives. It's a great feature to have. Thanks

Jason, this is the best from each of the 11 years for each of the 10 scoring categories. It's to show how the statistical leading numbers change each year.
