Young man with his whole entire life ahead of him. He would have been a fun guy to watch in our hobby too. So sad...

Man I hate stuff like this. Young kid, so talented with his whole life ahead of him just gone.
Makes you really scratch your head and thank God for today.

Incredibly sad news and it was almost numbing to see this on Twitter last night. It was like a bad rumor that you were hoping someone would disprove, but it never came. Just very sad for Taveras and his fiancee. Our thoughts go out to all families involved and to the Cardinals' organization who had been developing a very promising young man/player.
Don't take a single day for granted and enjoy every day.

I am grateful that I was fortunate enough to watch the young man play in the minors several times as well as at Busch. You can always tell when a player has "it" and this kid certainly did. Enjoy and appreciate every day everyone.

A bad thing gets worse. Looks like he was drunk at the time -- 5 times the legal limt. Don't know what the legal limit there is but even if it is .05, .25 is pretty messed up.

Hopefully it stops one person from drunk driving. It is a shame, for his family and his girlfriend's.

Very, very sad and two lives shortened because of it. .25 is VERY messed up. Incredible that someone couldn't have talked him out of driving at that level.
