Isn't the $125 an auction/ DC hybrid like the $250 that just filled?

If it's the same as last year, the auction is going to fill your active roster of 23 players then gets ported over to NFBC to continue as a slow draft for the remaining 27 rounds for your bench. With 50 players per team, there is no FAAB.

If there's demand for an auction FAAB league, I'm sure they would consider it but for now it's not part of any plan I've seen published.

FYI, I'm definitely interested in doing a $125 auction or two at some point this drafting season. I'm not sure about this particular one as I do not know when it will take place for sure and am pretty tied up with the holidays on many nights. I'm not sure if others are in the same boat as me, but between work and family commitments, I'd have a hard time committing to an auction that may take five hours or slightly longer without some certainty as to the date and starting time. I'm fine passing on this one. For future auctions, however, it may make sense to schedule them in advance for a specific date and time and then try to fill them. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

Just wondering the auction draft format. Assuming the January 16th date is the official date. We do a full 23 round auction in one night. Results transferred to NFBC site shortly thereafter. Then the remaining 27 rounds done in slow draft format. Is this correct?
Also, how long does that 23 round auction usually take?

You have it right.
Time can take anywhere from 4 and 1/2 to 6 hours for an auction. Depends on how smoothly things go.
There are small glitches in some auctions. The less glitches, the shorter the auction.

I'm interested but I would like to know a little more about the mechanics / web site... is it a blind bid or like normal auctions?

Thanks, Greg

I'm going to assume it's all the same as last season where we did the auction over at RTSports as a mock. They have 12 team mocks set up already in case you want to go try out the software and see the player list which may or may not have the correct position eligibility as NFBC.

Hope that helps and if there are changes for '15 someone with the new details can correct me.

Assuming this going to fill fast, can we agree to set a date? My preference would be 8 EST on Jan 16th. Happy Holidays and New Year!
