2015 ADP

After 9 leagues completed, Placeholder OF 1 is going at position 446 and Placeholder P 1 is going at position 475.

If you're in a DC league that's completed, it's important that someone from the league gets a full list of every placeholder pick and forward the list to Greg Ambrosius.

The list needs to include the player name, MLB team, manager name, round and pick number where selected.

NFBC doesn't go in and look for this data on their own so if you want access to the player when the season starts you'd better make sure his name shows up on your roster.

The sooner you get it done, the sooner these MLB players will be added to the database and won't need to be seen as placeholders in upcoming Draft Champions leagues.

Thanks for your help folks.

Or, have each drafter list the place holder on the league home page.
Names and league numbers will be there whenever Tom/Greg need them.
Tom/Greg can get results of leagues completed and also leagues as they progress.

respectfully, I've never known Greg or Tom to go looking for this info. They've always (in my short experience at NFBC) asked me/us to send them the info by email. just trying to help otherwise we will see people posting in Feb "why aren't these guys in the database yet?"

I get what you are saying and you're right.
Simply, the problem is not in our (drafters) hands.
And, not of our making.
Whether we send lists or not, the problem is not solved expediently.
Otherwise, it would be done now with names that have been taken in the first nine or ten drafts.

There is another thread about things we would like to see technically for the NFBC.
Placeholders should be eliminated.
They're clunky.
Give drafters the option to 'write in' a player as we would a 'write in' candidate while voting. A spot for the name of the player, his position, and his team would be required.
If that player was from Korea or Cuba, or Mars, and hasn't signed with an MLB team, we would be allowed to reference him as 'foreign'.
Later, STATS could assign 'write in' players a draft number and make them available in the draft room, as they do with place holders currently.
'Write ins' could also have a different colored background when selected. This would make it easy for Tom/Greg to spot.
When drafts conclude, these names could be sent for draft numbers and show in our draft rooms more quickly than now.

When was this "Deadheadz" guy hired by Greg and Tom? I must have missed the memo. Money would have been better invested in hiring marketing and development personnel...oh yeah and maybe for new software...and new tech guys...and...nevermind. Wasn't trying to be cynical. :P

And now for something more useful and relevant for those of us involved in the NFBC.
