What about a December Satellite?

I would do a $250 league if anyone else is interested. I now know what drug addicts must feel when they are in withdrawl... I want my Fantasy Baseball!

Spy I will definitely be organizing an NFBC Champions League again this year for the magazine and we'll likely draft in mid-December. I think Shawn Childs was also interested in keeping a league together that drafted last year in December and played for $250 per team. If anyone else is interested in a $250 satellite league this off-season, just let me know and we'll see what we can organize. Otherwise, the NFBC Satellite League season begins in earnest on Feb. 20, 2007.
You can gain a huge advantage in those really early drafts if you have your lists already being compiled. Couple of examples- Ryan Howard slid to the 5th I believe, and the biggest Hanley Ramirez went undrafted, so did Lofton sure Lofton no stud but he probably went in the top 25 rounds in every other draft.
Greg, I posted the league board the last week of the season. I didn't really get any responses, but I would like to do it or set up one in December or early January(Pre-Magazine coming out). I will send out an E-mail to everyone that played. I'll call you to find out what we can do.

The first 15 who want in can draft and we'll play out the league. I give a $500 NFBC Satellite league entry in 2008 to the winner. If you don't mind having your draft results published, it's a fun way to start the season.

Either sign up online or give me your info at [email protected] as it's easy for me to get you officially in. Thanks. First 15 defending league champs who want in and are signed up are invited. Draft Day will be around Dec. 13 or 14.

Greg,

Count the PhillyCheeseSteaks IN for the champions league draft in December 2006.

It was great to get an early fix in last year's league and we need this fix again this year. :D

Thanks

John

Greg,

Count me in...After participating in LABR from a few years ago obviously I don't mind having my crappy picks published!

Sounds like fun and yes I am having baseball withdrawals.
