We are having another FANTASTIC NFBC Draft Champions season and we'd like to thank everyone who has had the patience to do these 15-team, 50-round drafts. We now have three solid formats with the 8-hour DC, the 4-hour DC and the Draft Champions Express format. We'll perfect these even more in future years, but we like all three options right now and we'll have the same three options for football in 2015.

That being said, we have to start looking toward the finish line and get everyone up to speed with the timelines. We have to set some start deadlines and make sure all of these start and finish before the Cubs' opener on Sunday night, April 5th. So here's the plan:

NFBC $150 & $400 Draft Champions: Last day of signups will be Saturday, March 14th and the last possible starting date is Sunday, March 15th. We might even move this up a day, so be careful. But this gives owners 21+ days to finish these leagues, so no 8-hour drafts after March 15th.

NFBC $150 & $400 FAST Draft Champions: Last day of signups will be Wednesday, March 25th and the last possible starting date is Thursday, March 26th. That gives everyone 10 days to finish these, so we do have some options after the 8-hour drafts are done.

NFBC Express Leagues: The draft dates are on Registration and the last online DC Express is Sunday, March 29th. Plan accordingly if you want to do a full league's draft in one night.

We are planning ahead here at the NFBC and you should too. Today we should fill our 110th DC League and we are on pace to top last year's total of 164 leagues. You folks keep making these better. You folks keep giving us ways to improve them. You folks know we can make these even better in the future. And you folks keep pushing the prizes higher, this year at $25,000 and maybe more. Good to see the uptick in participation. Does the overall prizes for the Auction Championship stay as-is, or will this increase versus last year?

Prizes are based on 9 Auction Championship leagues, which is what we've had each of the last 5 seasons. It's what we expected this year as well. If we finish above that this year -- which is certainly possible -- we'll gladly give it back to you. We are ecstatic about the increased demand for this format and it's always very difficult to nail this perfectly, so we'll obviously reciprocate if demand exceeds expectations.

Just a heads up that we have less than 10 days left for the NFBC Draft Champions Leagues with an 8-hour clock. We may actually end signups on Friday, March 13th so that we can start leagues on the 14th at the latest, so don't delay if you want to do one of these before Opening Day. We may offer 4-Hour drafts after March 14th, but the end is nearing for the 8-hour format. Plan accordingly and good luck all.

We are on a record pace for the NFBC Draft Champions National Championship and could exceed last year's totals and what we expected this year. Good job everyone and keep things rolling in this format. Thanks all.

OK folks we're going to close off signups for the 8-hour DCs on Friday. The plan is to have all of those leagues begin drafting no later than Saturday March 14. So if you still want to get into one of those leagues sign up now because the deadline is coming soon. Thanks.

Just a reminder that we are shutting down Registration for the $150 and $400 Draft Champions Leagues on Friday as we don't want to start any 8-hour leagues later than Saturday. This next $400 DC will likely be the last one at 8 hours per pick, so plan accordingly. We have had a record year for this format and don't want any of these final DCs to push the limit of finishing before Opening Day on Sunday, April 5th.

Just a heads up that today is the last day for signups for the NFBC Draft Champions leagues with 8 hour clocks. We have a chance to fill this last $400 DC and we will try for one more $150 DC today. After that, only the 4-Hour DC option will be available. We already have over 170 Draft Champions Leagues and have exceeded our expectations, so let's fill these remaining 8-Hour leagues and close this format out with DC Express Leagues.
