3 Spots Left For April 4th New York Main Event

With the First Weekend live events less than five weeks away and so many 2015 events selling out so quickly, it's time to start the Countdown for the Main Event and the Primetime. We have had a sellout in the Main Event for 10 straight years and we expect to make it 11 in a row this year. We are shooting for 420 teams again in the Main Event and only 252 teams in the NFBC Primetime. With an expected 28 leagues in the Main Event and only 21 leagues for the Primetime, you have a good shot at the overall prize pool if you win your league title in either format.
We have no desire to go over our expected totals, unless the leagues don't finish in perfect fits of 15 and 12 team leagues in each city. When the spots are gone they are gone and we move forward on the season. We know a lot of you have to wait to sign up because of work and travel plans, but don't wait too long if you can help it. Signups are definitely strong right now for all of our contests.
As of today, we have less than 145 Main Event spots available and less than 160 Primetime spots available. We have over 275 teams for the Main Event and almost 100 for the Primetime. We held off charging for these leagues through Feb. 19th, but they do get charged upon signup now. You can definitely use the $100 Fanduel discount for these leagues or any of our NFBC leagues.
Okay, grab a spot and get ready to draft soon as the $125,000 and $80,000 grand prizes are there for the taking. It's another record-breaking year in the NFBC and we expect great numbers for these two contests as well. Thanks all and good luck. I'll keep updating this thread as we get closer to our goal and I look forward to having 0 spots left!!!

Thanks and good luck.

Okay, 7 Main Event signups in the last 24 hours has us over 280 Main Event teams now, leaving us with fewer than 140 spots left. We added 4 more Primetime teams in the last day as well, putting us at 99 teams there. Let's get to 252 Primetime teams this year and shut it down. Thanks all and keep 'em coming.

Regarding New York - our goal is five leagues on Saturday but once we get to four we could close it out so do not delay if you want to get into the Main Event there. It's best to sign up as soon as possible to ensure you have a spot reserved. You can sign up online or email me at
[email protected] and I'll be happy to help you get set up.

The signups keep rolling in tonight as we now have over 285 teams registered for our signature event and over 100 teams in the Primetime. Keep 'em coming folks!! You're doing great and soon enough we'll even see baseball on TV!!

We now have 290+ Main Event teams signed up for 2015, leaving us with less than 130 spots in our signature event. Let's sell this one out for an 11th straight year. At our current pace we should do that as we had 50+ Main Event signups in the last week. Keep 'em coming everyone.
We also have less than 145 spots left in the NFBC Primetime, which has an $80,000 grand prize and a goal of 21 full leagues and 252 teams. We can fill up that contest as well. Thanks all and good luck.

We're closing in on 300 Main Event signups right now. Let's top that number this weekend and keep moving toward an 11th straight sellout of our signature event. We can do it.
We're four weeks away from our First Weekend Live Events and just five weeks away from our other live drafts. Heck, MLB's Opening Day is just 37 days away. March is upon us and so is baseball!! Let's Play Ball!!

I remember how excited you were in 2005 when we reached 300 drafters.
More amazing is that back then, we had no online leagues and no double entries.
Now, our contests are so varied with so many price points that choices abound.
Instead of these DC's, remember me starting mock drafts on the Boards?
We've come a long way, indeed!
For those on the fence, get a team in the Main Event.
Nothing tells you how good you are at this game better than this contest.
I'm happy that the Main Event is still THE MAIN EVENT.

Me too. Now we need to start numbering them like the Super Bowl

+1
I think that is a great idea.
I also think the winner should get a bracelet like the WSOP.

100% agree.
I've been wanting that for several yrs but it was deemed confusing when Primetime 12-teamers were named "XII"
Maybe now with that naming snafu behind us .....

Once we get past 12 maybe we can do Roman numerals. That NFBC XII screwed everything up!!

After I win this years Main Event, I'm going to push for a bracelet or a trophy. Or maybe a t-shirt?
Greg
After we have 15 winners of the ME are you going to have a Winner's Tournment?

We now have over 300 Main Event signups and more than 115 Primetime teams. That leaves us with less than 120 spots left in the Main Event and 136 spots left in the Primetime. Let's fill up these leagues and have some fun this year!!

Keep 'em coming everyone. Spring training games start on Friday as BASEBALL IS BACK!!

Contrary to what some might think

this is an idea Greg and I have been discussing for a few years now. It's definitely something we'd like to do.

Now 312 teams locked and loaded for the NFBC Main Event this year!!! The goal is again 420 teams, so don't wait too long if you want to secure a spot in our signature event, which this year has a $125,000 grand prize. Thanks all for the strong response in the last two weeks and keep 'em coming for the Main Event and the Primetime. We're also nearing the halfway point of the Primetime, which will have no more than 252 teams this year, which is 21 full leagues. Great format if you want a realistic shot at our $80,000 grand prize.
Thanks and good luck everyone.

The first weekend is fast approaching and signups for the Main Event continue to come in. We now have fewer than 95 spots left. We will not go beyond 420 teams so do not delay. Spots are available in all three cities and Online. Sign up NOW and make sure you don't miss out on the chance to win $125,000 and achieve fantasy baseball immortality.

Wow, I need to leave Wisconsin more often!!

Great day of Main Event signups today everyone. Great job. We are now at 330 teams, leaving us with six more leagues to fill up or 90 available spots. Let's get to 420 and announce a sellout for an 11th straight year. This is our signature event and we love the 15-team format and the $125,000 grand prize. Thanks all.
Man, three weeks from tonight the first auctions kick off in Las Vegas!!! It's right around the corner. See ya soon everyone.

Signups continue to be strong for the Main Event this week and we now have fewer than 80 spots left. Again, once we get to 420 we are shutting things off so do not delay if you want to sign up. NOW is the time to get a spot reserved.
We have plenty of Online options available but sports are also open in our cities. In Chicago we have two full leagues but we're keeping registration open so let's see if we can get one more. In New York, once we get to four leagues for April 4 we likely will shut that off so if you want to draft in the Big Apple do not delay. And in Vegas, once we get to five leagues on March 28 that will likely be the end of signups there for that date.
Here is a look at what we have available in all three cities.
LAS VEGAS
March 28 10 am PT - 9 spots left for fifth league
April 1 5 pm PT - 13 spots left
April 2 5 pm PT - 11 spots left
April 4 10 am PT - 1 spot left for second league
NEW YORK
April 2 7 pm ET - SOLD OUT
April 4 1 pm ET - 12 spots left for fourth league
CHICAGO
April 4 Noon CT - 15 spots left for third league

Is Cocktail and Dreams multitabling the main event online April 4th? I mean is he doing two separate online drafts at the same time? Has that been done before?

Nope. Nobody can have two teams in the same league.
We've had people take multiple teams in separate leagues on the same day online numerous times in both contests. We've even had people drafting live with separate teams in separate leagues. Chad will have a partner drafting his second team that day. It's not unusual.

We now have fewer than 65 Spots left for the Main Event and fewer than 100 spots left for the NFBC Primetime. We are going to shut off Registration when we get to 420 teams as long as we have a perfect 15 teams in each city. We're done taking signups for the Chicago Main, the Las Vegas April 4th Main and the New York April 2nd Main. If all breaks right, these are the remaining spots left in each city and Online:
Las Vegas March 28th: 9 Spots Left
Online March 28th: 10 Spots Left
Online April 1st: 10 Spots Left
Online April 2nd: 9 Spots Left
New York April 4th: 10 Spots Left
Online April 4th: 15 Spots Left
If that breaks perfectly we will finish with 420 teams and an 11th straight sellout. We will happily close it out at that point, so if you are planning to sign up for any of these leagues don't delay.
The Primetime will likely fall short of our goal of 252 teams, but we'll close out those leagues that fill early and move on. This one has an $80,000 grand prize and the fewest teams we've ever had for a national contest. Good luck to all of those who supported this 12-team national contest and with a good push we can still have a good year here. Thanks all.

We're glad to welcome back our very first NFBC Main Event overall champion to the 2015 Main Event as Artie Rastelli of Hoboken, New Jersey is returning to the New York Hilton on Saturday, April 4th. Artie beat out 194 other competitors in that first year to win the $100,000 grand prize and has been back 11 straight years since then in the chase for this second overall title. We're going to fill up four leagues in New York City for this year's Main and we're glad to have Artie back with us.
We now have over 360 teams registered for the Main Event, so less than 60 spots left. We have a chance to fill each city perfectly and that's what we're going to do. Don't delay if you want a spot in any of the remaining leagues. Thanks all and good luck.
