I've asked that Dan Kenyon add those of you who are still interested in a fast DC to the league he's forming. Let's try the 3-day DC next winter. Good luck everyone.

Let's test out a new theory for speedy DCs by requesting signups for an improved version of Fast/Slow.
In this league the goal is to have all GMs in the draft room starting at 7:30pm ET each night for 3 consecutive nights.
With everyone in the draft room it should be easy to burn off 15 rounds of picks at which point the draft reverts to it's original slow format with the 8-hour clock. Picks can be made during the rest of the day or night so keep players in your queue but be ready for another 15 rounds of express at 7:30pm ET the next night. It all winds up on night #3 where your final rounds will play out.

Are there enough GMs out there willing and able to be in the draft room for 90-100 mins each night for 3 days straight?

All GMs are welcome to signup. If you're uncertain about being available, maybe recruit a co-manager to keep things moving if you're liable to be called away.

After soliciting feedback from GMs we've seen drafting in previous fast/slows, there is some interest in this format but trying to fill it quickly would be difficult as most of these guys are already registered for various upcoming drafts.

Let's push the date out to March 11 to give more people time to learn about the league and finish of their current leagues before deciding if they want to start a new one. The actual start date could be any day of the week but I'm thinking it's probably a good idea to keep all three drafting days during the middle of the week so I chose Tuesday for the kickoff day.

Let's get some more feedback to see if there are other ways to fill a 15-team DC with managers who can all be drafting at the same time of day and for a few days in a row.

Would two nights of 20-25 rounds be more appealing?

Hi guys, I've been away sick but just sent out another dozen invites to managers who took part in previous fast slows.

Let's get the word out about this format that allows us to take a day to reflect on way the draft has unfolded after 15 then 30 rounds. Regroup, check your lineups and go hard again with an improved strategy for the middle rounds and on the final night complete your bench depth by deploying your end-game selections.

You've already done the Draft Champion draft, now focus on perfecting your roster.
It's like 3 drafts for one price.

We're expecting some managers will make picks during the other 22 hours so it's likely we'll hit round 18-20 before night 2 begins. The clock still runs on the 8-hour schedule during the off peak.

While it may be possible to go full auto for night 3, I wouldn't suggest anyone do it for nights 1 or 2.

We need to fill this league by 10pm ET today for this to start tomorrow.

Assuming it fills, the KDS will run at 5am ET as per usual and the draft will go live at 1pm ET. Managers are welcome to make picks at that time but will be required to be in the draft room from 7:30pm until 9:00pm to draft as Express.

Overnight the draft continues on an 8 hour clock with managers picking at their leisure but with the group signed up so far don't be surprised if one or two rounds get done during the off peak hours.

Be sure to queue up a lot of players in advance since you won't have much time to make your picks during the nightly Express rounds.

If we get more people wanting into the league than we have spots, I will give up my own spot first and then see if the spots listed as "tentative" are good to go or may perhaps want a co-manager.

Let's make this format work and if so we can do it again each week for the rest of the month.

Looks as though we've hit a wall in signups.

I've sent email out to those I have addresses for asking if they'd be willing to postpone the draft either a day or a whole week.
Whatever happens, I think this might do well when we bring it back in early December.

If anyone is interested in joining the list for a league starting Tue Mar 17, I think we can fill the league and get the okay from STATS to run it on the promise that we expect to be done before the end of the week. Remember, slow DCs will be cut off for registrations with the last one planned to start Sat Mar 14.
