Does Soriano really deserve a pick before Utley?

I am surprised Soriano is getting hyped so much? I don't feel he should go before Utley. If you look at the difference in stats you could get with Utley over the other 2nd baseman, Utley as a top 5 pick is almost a no-brainer.
With Kent getting older and Soriano moving to the outfield, it's clear to me that Utley will dominate the 2nd base position more than anybody has in the last 10 years.
Soriano could very well hit .260 and have a 30/30 year, throw in 100 runs, and WHALA, he's a very good 2nd round pick....but far from a top 5.
I would be interested to hear what Mr. Ambrosius thinks about my argument.
