Okay, folks, I have finally returned to the office after a little R&R in Las Vegas and a day of re-introducing myself to my family. My nine-year-old said I was gone so long she couldn't remember what I looked like!! Once she saw my ugly mug, she remembered.
The KP staff has all of the NFBC teams entered and you can view your team and all of the teams in your league today by going into the game site. To do that, you need to use your ID and password. If you don't have that yet, contact [email protected]. Let's make sure everyone has that by next week at the latest.
I do not know if you can view every league at this point, but I will find that out shortly. I am meeting with STATS this afternoon to go over everything involving the game site and I will relay those points to all of you soon. In the meantime, here are a few quick points:
1) First FAAB deadline: The first free agent pickup deadline is Sunday, April 4. You will be allowed to make your bids for free agents starting Monday, March 29 and change them right up until 7 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 4. They will be announced that night and go into effect starting Monday, April 5.
2) Starting lineups: They are due an hour before next week's Japan game between Tampa Bay and the Yankees. That dealine isn't final yet, but that's what I'm requesting from STATS. You will have the chance to set your starting lineup online shortly.
3) FAAB: You have an imaginary $1,000 FAAB budget. Someone asked if it was $100 and said they saw it somewhere online at $100, but it is unquestionably $1,000.
4) Excel documents of each league: We do not have this done with the order of every pick and I'm not sure when we'll have that. We have other items that are more urgent, but with any luck we'll still get this done for you.
5) Check your lineups online: Please do me a favor and double-check your lineup. We entered each team manually after the draft and it's possible errors did occur. We have all of the draft boards here in Wisconsin and can double-check everything for accuracy, but our best bet is for each owner to double-check their teams. Contact me via e-mail if you see any errors. Thanks for the help.
6) I know I'm jumping the gun here, but we'll have our football site live likely by April 1 if not before. I don't want to promote that too heavily to you guys, but several people asked me questions about football and we'll make a link to that site as soon as it's finished. We're just finalizing hotel contracts and once we have that done the site will be live.
Good luck everyone and I'll try to be here to answer questions once I get through 500 e-mails I have waiting for me. I'm done with the all-nighters for now, so contact me from 8-5 p.m. as I owe my family a few nights out before Opening Day.
Oh, and thanks to everyone for being such great sports at the drafts. Everyone was well behaved and cordial of others. We'll address some concerns about cell phones and other items later, but for the most part the drafts and events couldn't have gone better. And we owe all of you guys a big thanks for that. Good luck everyone and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize.
